Menu has been changed to only a very few and massively over priced options recently. I will never be back to eat here again. A total disgrace. Sadly a likely death knell for this restaurant as a whole.

It is actually inside of the TA Express Truckstop and is SOOOOO MUCH BETTER than the normal Country Pride Restaurants !!!!!
This is an AWESOME place to take a break or a 34 hour reset !!!!! The entire place is clean from the restaurant to the showers and bathrooms !!!!! Just a great place to stop all around !!!

This place is now called miss j’s And the food as of right now is not the same in all of the pictures so don’t expect what you see in the old pictures. This is a corporate restaurant. The staff is amazing and share the frustration with everything and are trying to work thew everything. I want to give them the opportunity to fix it and I hope they do but this page for reviews needs to be taken down. First pic is the French dip and the dip was burnt and no good. The second was the Philly cheesesteak. And the peppers were not cooked right.

A simple, two eggs and biscuit…. They served me eggs that had great grease on them… I actually took a bite and it tasted like grease.
I told them to take it back and I just have the biscuit … the waitress should’ve had enough sense to deduct the meal, but she didn’t. Then she called a manager over, and the manager tried to convince me that those eggs were fine.
They weren’t !! They ended up charging me $8.54 for a hot tea and biscuit! The kicker that I really wanted to go to Panera bread this morning but instead, I chose to try something new and support a local business. What a freaking mistake that was!

Not Wendy’s as in the picture

This is now called “Miss J’s Diner”, not “mom and Pops”
Tristyne made me feed very welcome, and bright a large coffee and fresh biscuits, while I wait out a rainstorm. So glad I stopped in. 🙂

I've been driving otr for 8 years now. Ive ate at many truck stops. I typically stay away from truck stop restaurants. The quality of the food is less than desirable to me. Bad quality food, preparation and presentation. I like the good stuff.
Tonight I was looking for an indian restaurant (I am an American born and raised in Va Beach, VA) near me but everything ai found was almost closed or wouldnt answer the phone. I ran out of time to find qhat I want. Now what?
Another driver for our company is here parked beside me. He walked back to his truck and with some ffod in hand! I asked him about it and he responded in a way that I thought hmmm, maybe ai should go try it!
I walked in and qas oblivious to the fact they were closing in 20 min. Tristyn was my server and was not even going to say anything but ai sensed something was up but not cus of her. I asked when they close. She told me and added that i need not worry about that and should take my time and order.
Ok! Tyvm! I ordered the blackened ribeye with country taters and green beans. I wasnt expecting what arrived at my table with a great presentation!
I order my steaks rare. The taters were cooked perfectly as well as the green beans and thick juicy steak!
In no way was I rushed and I was treated like i was family! I had the BEST MEAL I HAVE EVER HAD AT A TRUCK STOP!!! The (Im not calling him a cook!) Chef did an excellent and idk waht was better... the food or the service! Both were first class! Amazing that I would ever write such a review about a truck stop restaurant!
It was so good I tipped $25 on a $35 dinner and it was worth every penny! Great job Tristyn and the chef!! Best truck stop meal Ive ever had!! Give these 2 a raise and never let them go!!
They open until 10pm is not close

I've been here to dine twice already, and found the service to be great. The servers are very sweet and accommodating as well as attentive. It's not as busy right now, which is nice for those that dine there, but I'm sure that will change as word gets out.
