I ordered the PB&J drink, what a nice alternative to a mimosa. I had the garbage skillet, I would not order this again. The potatoes were dried out and tasted like old grease. Food took a while to come.
I love coming here, but it is hit and miss. It can be amazing but this time not so much. My first mimosa was flat, next wasn't much better (even after telling them). The sweet bacon came out half burnt and half undercooked, honestly not sure how/why it left the kitchen. Got the uneaten bacon taken off but didn't offer to remake it or anything. The potatoes in my skillet were also burnt.... Hopefully next time will be one of the “hit” times cause this was definitely a miss.
Proximo provided attentive service, delicious food and a full bar. Nice decor with natural light through large windows and sidewalk seating also. Loved the creative latin menu with nice portion sizes. Bonus: street parking downtown is free after 5pm and on weekends.
We thoroughly enjoyed our breakfast with Proximo. Loved the Latin flavors in the typical breakfast fare. Service was excellent and flexible. Appreciated the recommendations.
Great food and service! Round tables at the booths would be more comfortable with larger groups.
Very nice service is great food was fantastic very unique offering for breakfast very enjoyable experience.
Our food was creatively delicious, a great value for the quality, and the service exceptional. While somewhat noisy, we could carry on a conversation fairly well. We thoroughly enjoyed it.
Service was outstanding. Our waiter was attentive, engaging, and very knowledgeable of the menu. The food menu offered just the right number of options without feeling overwhelmed with too many choices. The drink menu was similar, with an array of drink options and skilled mixologists to expertly craft any cocktail. The three of us all ordered cocktails, which were delicious and did not take a ridiculous amount of time to make it to the table once ordered. We all enjoyed our dinner choices, which all tasted excellent, as well as having been prepared in a very reasonable amount of time. The interior setting and design are tasteful and, unlike too many restaurants, the floor isn't packed with tables. There is plenty of room to move around without fearing bumping into another customer.
This was my first visit to Proximo, and certainly will not be my last. Highly recommend!

A Feast to Remember—Evermore Once upon a moonlit evening, in the hush of downtown's gleaming, We were drawn, as if by fate, to Próximo's inviting door. The air inside was warm and low, where gentle lights in amber glow Did weave a spell both soft and slow— A whisper of romance... evermore. We took our seats in shadowed grace, the hum of life a muted trace, And soon our host—kind Alexander—came with welcome at the fore. With poise refined and eyes sincere, his service banished all that's drear; In every word, in every cheer, We felt attended, cared for, and adored. My feast began—Cuban chicken, Tender meat with flavors thickened, Spices dancing dark and quickened, As if a poet penned my plate. My wife, with Caesar crowned in shrimp, Declared each bite a reign of primp— Crisp, fresh, and kissed with dressing's grace, A banquet fit for any state. And then dessert—a siren's call— Sweet velvet shadows did enthrall; Each bite a whisper down the hall Where love and longing intertwine. We lingered there, our hearts content, With every moment wisely spent, And marveled at the value lent— So rare in nights of dine and wine. So mark this place upon your lore; In Próximo you'll ask no more. For here is food, and here is heart, And here begins the sweetest part— Where evenings end in whispered bliss, And love returns... forevermore.
Aaylah is an awesome, caring server with an attention to detail! Olivia is a kind and engaging hostess!
Wish I could give it 0, my pesto pasta tasted only like lemon, my sister got disappointing seafood whatever. The server, freaking amazing, but the food bad. Very bad. So fancy, it's weird. The heck is a plantain and why do I never wanna eat it again. Nasty. And expensive. Next time I'll just get some freaking Mcds.
When Proximo says they are a "scratch kitchen," they truly are. They will make the dish however you need them to for whatever preferences or allergies you have. They don't mind the modifications and seem more than happy to accommodate. I've been there countless times at all times of the day and never had a bad meal, drink, or service.
The staff always goes out of their way to provide great service. Morgan is the best server and greets us every time with the brightest smile.
