Somewhat disappointed. Let me explain.

We all see signs of corporate greed. Cereal boxes with less in them but the same price, serving sizes shrinking. Costs going up. I think you understand what I'm saying.

Tonight, Proximo was that restaurant.

My example: the seafood paella. Always been the same price, maybe cheaper, @ $47.

Used to get lobster, not anymore.
Used to get large scallops, now small
Used to get quality muscles, now small.
Peas are frozen, I find that incredible.
Shrimp are a size down for sure.

+++You have to De-shell you own muscles and scallops.+++ To me, that means they bought cheaper, in shell seafood and pass it to the customer as an experience.

Finally, the dish was DRY. How is that possible?

Hope for better one day. Drinks are awesome! Waitress didn't know the specials or what's in them ingredient wise. Neither did next door table waiter.

Right now, there are significantly better options in fort wayne to rather land here at these prices and that service.

Incredibly creative latin-inspired cuisine. The Snapper was extra crispy and the accompanied beans and rice and sides were expertly prepared. The flavors were very unique and not something I expected to find in Fort Wayne. The price for the meal was a little bit high but the value is there because this is extraordinary and unusual food that was totally delicious and well worth it the atmosphere is very upscale and the service matched

One of the best places in fort wayne. We went with someone with a severe dietary restriction. They were so careful to accommodate her and took extra care. This is a 10/10 experience and the food is incredible and unique. Authentic tastes with a unique twist.

Wonderful food. The plantain appetizer was excellent! Tortilla soup was beautiful. I had the porkchop and it was juicy and cooked well. The corn risotto was a very nice addition. Loved it all.

Service was great, atmosphere was great, nice place to sit down and eat. I however did not enjoy the food, this was my first time visiting Proximo and I was very excited then very disappointed. I ordered the buttermilk pancakes for around $13.5. Presentation was great, eggs and sausage was great. The pancakes however were just not good. I was very disappointed with them. As someone who loves breakfast food, pancakes are my absolute favorite and you can tell a lot by a place by how they do their pancakes. I’m not sure if it was just an off day or what but the pancakes I got were just not good. They looked great but looks are deceiving. Even with the syrup and butter, the first bite into these pancakes just boring. There was no taste, it didn’t taste like pancakes. The best way I could describe it is fluffy paper. The syrup or the butter didn’t help at all. I thought okay, maybe it’s just a bad first bite but the more and more I ate into it, the worse it became. Now I’m not trying to be mean or anything like that, this is an honest review and the place overall was great, I was just very disappointed with the pancakes and wanted to make a review about it. Innit taking this place off my list as I’m still open to trying them again. Hopefully next time the pancakes will be better then they were this time if I order the again.

I went to proximo for the first time yesterday for a paid work event dinner in their conference room space. It was my first time at proximo, and I was looking forward to eating here all week and excited to try the food! I had heard a lot of great things about proximo, but unfortunately my experience here will have me never coming back. We had a four-course prepared for us, appetizers, salad and soup, entrees as well as chocolate cake for dessert. Everything came out looking beautiful and tasty, when it came to the entree, I had ordered the barbacoa steak dinner that is 50+ dollars for reference. I ordered it medium, as I do with all of my steaks I order at other places. It looked perfect and the presentation was beautiful; yet it made me awfully sick. Either it was just the steak that did it, or the combination of the carnitas appetizer or the chicken tortillas soup along with it. I've only had food poisoning once before and it was from undercooked or poorly prepared meat. With this restaurant being in the heart of downtown and claims to be a higher end eatery, I am disappointed with the food I received and how clueless the kitchen staff could be to ignore a possible cross contamination or an undercooked steak and still proceed to serve it. I was sick for 2 hours last night and could not sleep due to my symptoms from someone's lack of clean food preparation techniques. If this dinner wasn't paid for by my Job, I would be demanding a refund! It's absolutely ridiculous for the restaurant to have such high reviews to cause me to get violently ill; do better.

Service here is fantastic. Our server Jarred and the manager Jacob both were fantastic. We noticed their hospitality and attention to detail not just at our table but at the tables around us as well.

We were here for breakfast and the food is solid.
Took a star off the food category because they only offer hot coffee for breakfast… you gotta have some lattes or cappuccinos. They do offer brunch style cocktails. Kids menu is also solid.

Pleasant wrap to our Fort Wayne weekend.

We had a delicious Brunch. The service and food were fantastic. They have breakfast until 3-4 every day which is amazing. The Carnitas Benedict is on cornbread and it’s so good.

Make a reservation, go with people you like, plan on staying a while and enjoy the ambiance. I love this place. I loved it before it was Proximo. I love it even more now that it’s Proximo.
The Garbage Skillet is an amazing brunch meal, no tomatoes and eggs over medium.
The drinks are great. The chefs are phenomenal. The best wait staff.

Do yourself a favor, go to Proximo.

FYI I’ve gone with groups of 20+, 10+, 6-8, 4, my wife and I, and solo.
Premium experience every time.
