I recently dined at Rune and was truly impressed by both the food and atmosphere. From the moment I stepped in, I was greeted with warm smiles and a cozy, inviting ambiance. The decor strikes a balance between modern and rustic, making it a great spot for both a casual dinner and a special occasion.

The service was prompt and attentive without feeling intrusive. Our server was knowledgeable about the menu and offered helpful recommendations. It’s clear the staff genuinely care about ensuring a positive dining experience.

One of the standout elements was the dessert. I ordered the last word, and it was the perfect way to end the meal — indulgent but not too heavy.

Overall, Rune is a gem that delivers on both taste and experience. Whether you’re looking to celebrate or simply enjoy a good meal, this spot deserves a visit. Highly recommended!

Forgot to take pictures. Here are some honest opinions
First of all, where did they source the ingredients? I need those to cook at home lol
The portion is tiny compared to other restaurants. The staff should have mentioned it.
The cooking was very good for my taste. The only downside is that the menu is small so the options were limited, plus half of the menu was vegetarian.

Our bartender May was awesome - so knowledgeable about the restaurant history and made some amazing drinks.

We arrived around 5:30 on a Saturday and were surprised to discover we arrived during happy hour! $6 for a fantastic cocktail and $2 for a beer is hard to beat. Highly recommended

I meant to take a photo of our tri tip steak and ratatouille before we ate it, but it was so good that I forgot

It was almost perfect! The food was fabulous. The pork belly had deep-layered flavors and textures, 10/10. The rigatoni was cooked to perfection. The small cucumber plate was delicious!

The only issue I had with the place is that it’s LOUD. If it’s mostly full, which it seems to be, the one big room filled with hard surfaces makes it very difficult to hear your table mates. I might bring my AirPods next time to use noise-cancelling.

Amazing meal with my work colleagues for a celebration. We took part in their new happy hour menu, enjoyed some oysters and special cocktails, The Montana, which was very good.

We split four of the small and medium plates for appetizers, the tempura oyster mushroom was amazing, the pork tenderloin with the spring green curry sauce, awesome. The wings were good, and even the bread was top notch.

For my dinner I got the braised pork shoulder with rigatoni, fennel, tomatoes, and I cannot remember what else. It is the best pasta dish I have ever had in this city, maybe anywhere.

Thank you for an excellent meal!

I visited for an anniversary dinner and I’m so glad I did. Mae has curated a fantastic cocktail experience. Be sure to order a cocktail while you’re there. The food was so great. The menu offers small, medium, and large plates, so it’s easy to choose something based on how hungry you’re feeling. The menu is also changing constantly so every visit will be different. The atmosphere is super relaxing and just beautiful to look at. Items are a little bit pricey, but really not much more than most other local restaurants. The customer service and atmosphere makes it worth it. Everyone here goes above and beyond in making your experience nothing less than excellent.

A great, unique experience in Fort Wayne that's worth it to try something you never have before. We had fantastic service, and my pork belly entree was fantastic.

However the Tri-Tip, while cooked perfectly and paired with a delicious pan sauce, didn't meld with bokchoy in a satisfying manner. The tempora fried oyster mushroom had an amazing texture that was overpowered by the acid punch of the mustard and pickles. And the cocktail we ordered was truly one of the least drinkable things I've had since college.

But listen, I'll always award points for ambition and Rune has it in spades. Combined with a great atmosphere and passionate servers, it's well worth checking out. I'd love to see the menu get tightened up or a tasting menu option to get quick hits of the innovation.

We'll be back for sure, but know what your in for, because they still have a few edges to sand down.
