And furthermore, management is unwilling to make any concessions.Last week, I paid $80 for a custom 9” cake from Sweet so Geek in Fort Wayne,IN. Now I did order it at the last minute and I knew they were squeezing me in. But what I orderd and what I got…. Well you be the judge.I picked it up today and it was seriously not what I had expected at all. I was very upset. And when the sweet girl at the front counter said “Our baker did his best”. I can only say…Wow. His best isn’t great.So I called to speak with the manager there, Chad, and was told it matched the picture…and they stand behind their product. This is fair warning…Don’t order a custom cake at Sweet so Geek unless you are willing to get a cake that isn’t what you ordered and get ripped off.What I ordered looked like the cake with a 38 on top. What I got was the cake in the box.I was told the color matched and that I ordered fondant butterflies. I guarantee I never asked for that!But hey, they wanna stand by this… good for them. I will never shop with them again and I’ll be sure to tell everyone I know. These guys stand by this?

Ordered a cake for my stepdad's birthday. When we went in to order the cake the baker/designer was not in and the lady taking our order wasn't allowed to order anything "complex." We didn't want to place an order online and just wanted to get the cake ordering done and out of the way. When the cake arrived it was extremely boring and messy in design. It was also extremely dry and dense in texture. Severely disappointed. Judging by other reviews I've seen, this place is no stranger to experiencing the same issues that I just listed. I would forgive the lazy design and brush it off as a miscommunication if the cake wasn't so abysmal in texture.

LOOK NO FURTHER FOR YOUR WEDDING CAKE.We have always lived nearby one of your stores, and liked the tasty chocolate you sell! We figured ging through Sweets So Geek would be a great opportunity to try more of their menu and we were NOT disappointed. Chad takes his time.to really get to know each couple and what they want out of their dessert. Not to mention the day of, we didn't even have to worry about anything! The cake was delicious was served enough to feed the head table and both reserved tables! And the guests couldn't stop talking about the cupcakes! My brother, who doesn't even care too much for sweets, had several and couldnt stop talking about them!!The "icing" on the cake is that we don't have to deal with freezer cake, as they provide a complementary cake on your 1 year wedding anniversary.

I called Sweets So Geek mid week hoping they had availability to make a cake for my wife's birthday. Man I spoke to said yes and when I told him I wanted the cake by weeks end he was more than accommodating. I told the decorator what i wanted and gave them artistic freedom. When I picked up the cake, I was absolutely blown away. The detail was incredible, the flavor was delicious and they had my cake done early! 1000% I will be buying from Sweets So Geek again. Lovely people who are very friendly. I highly recommend!

This is so disappointing my son and wife go here to indulge in your guys amazing treats. We decided since there chocolates were so delicious that their cakes would be too, unfortunately we were wrong our funfetti pickachu cake we had gotten for our sons birthday was dry and crunchy and inedible for the price we payed we expected better. No one at my son's birthday enjoyed it was quite sad. Sorry to say we won't be returning.

I was so disappointed with my cake! I ordered a mermaid cake for my daughters 4 birthday expecting something in water colors and 3D like I saw in all their pictures. Instead I got a pink cake with a scanned and computer printed image from my daughter’s birthday invitation on the top. It was supposed to have writing on the top but instead it was also printed on the side.Also, the cake was not even good! We ordered a funfetti and what we got was a very dense and dry cake that tasted and looked like it was made out of something other than white flour.Do not waste your money on a cake from this bakery! They charged me extra and then severely under-delivered. I was so disappointed for my daughter!

Friendly gentlemen behind counter, let us pick our favors for the ice cream flight & we ordered the crime brûlée too. Ice cream was tasty, but not served with waffle cone chips like menu said. Clean & homey inside & i was surprised by how much they offered. Ice cream, pastries, baked goods, and drinks. Crème brûlée was super good! We will be back, good service

So now that the weekend has come to an end I would like to make some people aware of a local small business that I do not recommend at all. I went to this business because close friends highly recommended them and I was so excited to support another small business but after my experience I am gonna warn people make sure that when you order cakes and desserts and you're sending in reference images that they can actually provide what you are looking for. I was under the impression that they would be very similar to the reference images and what I received was absolutely not ok. On top of that the Owner of Sweets So Geek Refuse to take any accountability for the poor job and poor customer service that they provided. I am attaching reference images, what I picked up at the shop morning of event, the communication, and the cake after I had to go spend more money to fix it myself

Great place! Ordered hot cocoa bombs in bulk for gift baskets and they looked awesome! Nicely packaged and quick turn around. Great customer service as well!

It's a nice place to buy ice cream, dessert, and coffee. They do have custom cakes by ordering ahead. They have a good parking lot. Room for 16 people. Not super big but it's cool

We ordered a cake for my daughters second birthday. This place was recommended to me by a family member who raved about it. I called and spoke with Laurie and told her I wasn’t picky on the flavor or design but that the party was nature themed. My daughter likes bugs, acorns, and butterflies and they were more than welcome to have fun with it. This is the cake we received! I was absolutely blown away by how perfect this turned out. The flavor ended up being Oreo and as you can see it was a HUGE hit from my toddler who kept sneaking bites when we weren’t looking. It wasn’t overly sweet and extremely moist. Also, 16 people were able to have a big piece and take some home and we are left with half a cake! Laurie was the one I spoke with and she was such a joy to talk to. She joined in my excitement and told me how excited the decorator was with my ideas. It was such a wonderful experience and I am so over the moon happy with how everything turned out.

Quaint store with tons of nerdy memorabilia. Everything is super neat, the chocolates are amazing, and they have tons of sweets to choose from! Definitely worth a trip. I'll be stopping by again for sure!
