Food was amazing, it was very quiet and not too crowded! Food was a little slow especially for there not being many people but it is worth the wait!!

Best authentic Mexican food in the NE Fort Wayne area, homemade tortillas just like the ones my madre makes. The tamales were pretty good and didn’t skimp on the meat. The sopes tasted fresh and not frozen like many other Mexican restaurants in Fort Wayne. The service was a bit chaotic, the server was the waiter, bartender, cashier, and busboy. My guy needs help.

I was directed here after learning their $2.75 tacos are just $1.50 on Tuesdays! It turns out that is only for 4 meats (I believe chicken, steak, chorizo, and al pastor).Regardless, I was very excited to try a number of meats I've never seen ANYWHERE else, very unique. We tried 8 of the 12 meats. Chips and salsa are free and decent, atmosphere is very fun. They load up the meats plenty as well! Here are the 8 we had and my thoughts in no particular order:-Steak - Very solid choice especially for $1.50.-Chorizo - Surprised it was spicy but also VERY sweet and cinnamon, reminded me of a coney sauce.-Al Pastor - Same as Chorizo, sweet and distinct cinnamon reminiscent of coney sauce. My wife loved that about it but that made these 2 my personal least favorites (to each their own!).-Chicharron Rojo - This and the next are both the same but with a red sauce vs green. Very soft pieces of fat and these two had the most heat.-Chicharron Verde - Same as above, a bit sweeter.-Lengua - Diced up very small, pretty good and tender but not my favorite lengua.-Cabeza - This in the photos is the one by itself. It is cow head meat so VERY unusual and had bits of fat and meat and was kind of stewed.-Tripa - This was maybe one of my favorites, unusual for sure. A mix of nice pieces of meat and VERY crispy bits of fat or something and so very crunchy throughout. If you want to play it safe, the first half of meats are your place. If you love different and unusual things, the entire second half is for you. The Chicharron meats and the tripa would be my first suggestions.Last, I will say everything says they open at 11am but today we arrived at 11:20am and they were closed. They did answer and say they open at 11:30am (as if that was normal) and then we were good :)

Music was a little loud but the service was good considering they were short staffed. The food was super good and the staff was really nice.

Absolutely poor customer service, and if I could, I'd give a rating of 0 (zero). From the time we sat down to the time our food came out, 1 hr and 20 minutes had passed. From the time we ordered, 20 minutes from the time we arrived, we had no refills of chips/salsa or refills of water. It wasn't until the bartender saw the concern in our faces, 1 hr after we ordered, that he went back and food came out immediately. Food was room temperature, so it had obviously been ready for quite some time; just not brought out. My family and I will not be returning. There were other things I'd like to bring up, but the aforementioned was the bulk of our experience.

We've eaten at Rancho Alegre a couple times with our (adult) kids. We've liked everything we ever ordered, and they recently upgraded their menu too. I was really excited to see that chicken mole is on the menu full time because I've found it difficult to get mole in Fort Wayne. Rancho's mole wasn't bad, but I am still searching for something as good as I had in Phoenix many years ago. :) Rancho has good margaritas and a pretty large alcohol selection... which is great because those little bottles of salsa are FIRE! You've been warned!

Tuesday, I had to get out and try Rancho Allegre, in the strip near Pierre's and Peanuts.Their deal is a $1.50 taco on Tuesdays with quite a few meat choices. They have a special where if you get 5 tacos, you can add beans and rice and make it a meal for $10. I had to try it, you know, for science.I had two steak, one pastor, one chorizo, and one with steak and chorizo mixed. All of the tacos had a pretty good amount of meat for the corn shell size. There was a generous amount of onion and cilantro on them as well. The beans and rice came on a separate plate. They were served very hot. Whenever possible, I always get a Mandarin Jarritos drink. So good!At the bottom of the pictures, I got to peek at something that isn't on the menu. It looked like a giant quesadilla, but had a special name. It was every bit as big as my whole forearm. They have been open for about a year, and are still adjusting the menu. The owner says there are a few new items coming soon. I can't wait to see what else they offer.Do you have a favorite meat for street tacos? Mine is definitely asada.#onforkstoforks #foodie #tacotuesday #tacos

Doomzday ..

When inside and it was empty. I mean, no one. Stood for 5 minutes. Finally, a guy came out and seated me. Is margarita were watered down, chips were cold, tortilla wasn't warm or cooked, food was fatty, salsa had no taste, tamales had barely any meat inside, and they charged us for water. I've never in my life been to a restaurant that charges for water that's not in a bottle! Smh.. Will never go back!!

Food was ok..I was hoping for more due to the reviews. It's an average Mexican restaurant but it definitely didn't knock my socks off. I live less then 2 miles away and I wouldn't be surprised if I don't order from here again. Salsa was bland and the quest was below average. I got enchiladas expecting enchilada sauce but it came with Mole sauce which tasted pretty good but that's not what I ordered. Rice and beans were dime a dozen. Tamales were super average. If there is a next time id probably just get some tacos.

I got two cow tongue tacos. My co-worker brought them to me at work around noon. I just got off of work at 3:30pm. And the tacos were still fresh and juicy after I warmed them up. The shells were made fresh and in house. Definitely a must try.
