Hall's Tavern at Coventry

Sophie suggested this wonderful meal to me the last time I was in here 2 weeks ago. Blue cheese sirloin house salad mac&cheese and the starter was awesome penne bread with the spinach dip. I am back again because I had such a great experience. Just so happens Sophie is taking care of me again and can’t wait to eat her favorite sandwich here, The Ruben! Just took my first bite “Delicious”! Thanks Sophie for making my experiences great! 5 Star personality!

Wish I had pictures but forgot to snap them this time around. Got the spicy buffalo wings, bounced. If you haven't tried them, get them and that way specifically, they just might be the best wings I've ever had. Bartender was really friendly, helped me decide on my meal options. I also got the Italian grinder with fries. Grinder was really good, and fries are fresh and delicious. Was disappointed the ranch was store bought a everything else was great and fresh. Will definitely be back the next time I'm in town.

We were seated fast and our server was promt. The bread they bring out is oh so yummy. I ordered the prime rib with mash potatoes and steamed broccoli. I finished up every last bite. The food was very delicious, and I would definitely go back.

Great place for a local bite! I was so excited for the crème brûlée I forgot a before picture! Knowledgeable and friendly staff.

The food had a great flavor and was as advertised. Our service was prompt, polite, and considerate. Everything arrived quick even with how busy it was! Huge seating space with plenty of parking. Great for a family, friends, quick lunch, or date outing.

The food is good to really good... however, sometimes inconsistent. The service and atmosphere, specifically at the bar, is awesome. Neighborhood/townie feel. Good drink selection. Good pours. It's a cozy spot, if not my favorite spot.

Ordered the special, coffee crusted New Strip med-rare. Came out perfect! Server was very attentive and nice. Will be going back.

Don’t bother. We made reservations to celebrate our anniversary and were seated by the kitchen door at a tiny round table—so tiny it could barely support a salt and pepper shaker, let alone a romantic evening. The kitchen staff provided a steady soundtrack of shouting, but it was fine because the table forced us to sit so close we could practically share thoughts.

I ordered the walleye, which came with more bones than fish. Eating it felt less like dinner and more like a survival challenge. When the waitress asked if I wanted a box, I explained that it wasn’t edible due to the number of bones I was actively choking on. Her response? A simple “okay,” and she whisked it away—no apology, no offer to fix it, no concern for my continued existence.

The response suggested this happens often enough to not warrant a second thought. If you enjoy paying for disappointment and being treated like that’s normal, this might be the place for you..

I was in the area for a funeral and had a cancelled flight out
I randomly visited the Tavern and to my delight it was one of the best experiences I have had in years
The prime rib, as advertised was amazing. It’s was an amazing Midwest experience
I sat at the bar and the only thing better than my meal was the hospitality and service from my bartender Olivia . Hoosier hospitality at its best, not only great service afforded me, but the entire bar

Yes, the prime rib sandwich was very good, as are the onion rings. The fish basket had very little fish and lots of greasy breading. The coleslaw was flavorless. Hall's needs to up their game. The entire table top was sticky. It needs to be thoroughly cleaned or refinished. The blinds beside are table were splattered with food or beverage stains. Gross!

Overall, a great place to meet friends to enjoy a meal. Prices are good, but quality of food (and huge bread on sandwiches) is sometimes not my favorite. This last visit, I got the French Dip. The meat/cheese/au jus were delicious! The bread I basically put to the side and didn’t eat. The side salad was average.
