Went for dinner. Atmosphere is very cozy. The service was on point. The lasagna was fresh and handmade. Crab dip was great.

Me and my boyfriend decided to come here for a date night. It started off well and got seated right away. The server came up and explained the menu and the specials. We started off with garlic bread with cheese and when it came it was very small. When i say small it was bite size or small enough to feed a dog or cat. Next came the salad and the bread. The salad was very small and very little dressing on it. The bread tasted like toast that you put in the toaster at home and little burnt. The butter was the only savior to the bread that we got. I got the special for the night which was butternut squash ravioli and again a very small portion and the taste was bland with no flavor at all. Also the price for the special wasn't announced when she went over the special. My bf ended up getting the lasagna and again a very small dish with mostly noodles swimming in a gross overwhelming with sweetness sauce. The waitress never came over to give us more bread and the other staff there kept checking on us more than she did. Then we ended up getting 2 desserts which was a cannoli and a lemon cake. The cannolis that came in 2 were miniature and you could eat it in 2 bites or so. The shell of the cannoli tasted stale as well. The lemon cake was descent, but by that we were disgusted by everything to even enjoy it. We paid around $70 and we didn't even get drinks. After everything it left us still hungry to where we had to pick a pizza up afterwards. Im Italian and this does not come close to the Italian food that I'm use to at all. All in all we will not return and we are still upset over the experience and the price we paid for little food. Hope this helps everyone that wants to try this and I I would give 0 stars if I could!

I want to leave 5 stars. Maybe we will try again! We waited 45 minutes to recieve our drinks. Got there and seated at 6:25. Wine and bigger waters came at 7:10. They weren't packed like I've heard they can get, so that's not the reason. The couple next to us got their drinks and appetizers before we did, even though we are there first. And we had the same waitress. It wasn't making sense. The food was absolutely delicious. One of the best tiramisus I've ever had. The cannoli was not like what I've read in the reviews. The shell was not crisp. And the filing was gritty and pretty flavorless. The atmosphere is nice. Lots of different things to look at. I want to try again, but hopefully the service is better. The waitress didn't even talk to us until the end. Go figure. She still got a 20% tip, even though the service was terrible.

Before going to the Italian Connection, I did not know what a cannoli was, and after leaving, I'm pleased to report that I know even less what it is, despite having bitten directly into one.

10/10 excellent service, all the food is homemade with care and passion and the atmosphere is kitschy and fun in the best way. Best Italian restaurant in Fort Wayne for sure!

My wife and I have a list of restaurants we would like to visit, we finally made it to the Italian Connection. We were seated upstairs, its close quarters but not as bad as some say. Parking is definitely a little tight, as others have stated.

I ordered the chicken parm, which they warned me wasn't traditional. My wife ordered Alfredo Primavera.

My chicken unfortunately came out undercooked. We told the waitress and she informed me she had to take my plate, I naturally agreed to this.

The waitress came back out and apologized profusely to us, and removed my chicken from the bill. We didn't get to speak to the chef or owner, they didn't come out.

My wife let me try her Alfredo, the sauce tasted of half and half. It was definitely not appealing to me.

The salad was underwhelming. Lacking flavor, but was fresh.

The bread was also underwhelming, it reminded my of just white bread slices. The compound butter was maybe the best part.

My chicken came with a side of noodles and red sauce. The noodles were alright, reminded me a lot of egg noodles. The sauce was good, but not great.

We likely won't return, mostly due to the owner/ chef not making amends themselves. We loved local businesses, so we truly hope they figure it out and continue serving food people do enjoy, it just won't be to us.

While the ambiance is nice, the rest of the restaurant is lacking. We used to love this place but it has really gone downhill in recent years. The food is not good anymore, especially for the price.

Went there for the first time for my Dad's birthday. The food was delicious, the atmosphere is small and cozy...such a great departure from a huge franchise resturant. Everything is made to order, the portions are excellent, and we even got lucky to hear Al sing! He eventually invited us up to sing and it really made for a memorable night eith the family. You wouldn't know by looking at it, but its a hidden gem for sure.

Unlike any restaurant you’ll find in Fort Wayne, this hidden gem perfectly executes its limited space, feeling cozy, authentic, and wholesome. Pasta made from scratch, and a great wine selection without drowning you in excessive options

Seems bigger on the inside than the outside. I cannot believe I have been avoiding this place. I look forward to returning and exploring the menu.
