My family was trying to surprise me with a cake for my 18th birthday. The cake looked horrible, I couldn’t cut into it and it came in improper packaging. The frosting smelled and looked like Betty Crocker which has dairy in it. I need a dairy free cake as eating dairy can make me very sick. They ordered an 8in cake, and this cake was mostly made of frosting and barely any of it was the actual cake. The parts that were cake were slimy and jello like and they looked either undercooked or completely burnt. This overall ruined my 18th birthday and because of the last minute timing, we couldn’t find another dairy free cake. My sister tried to talk to the owner about ways to resolve, but the owner refused to take accountability for her actions and blamed it completely on the transportation of the cake. The reason the cake fell apart was the amount of frosting.

We ordered a surprise cake for my daughter‘s 18th birthday. We tried to go with the sassy vegan because my daughter now has a dairy allergy. I thought I was ordering a cake from a storefront, but instead, my oldest went and picked it up from somebody’s apartment and. The cake didn’t even come in a professional box. The cake itself was different consistencies throughout. There was more frosting than there was actual cake. The bottom layer was so hard that I couldn’t even cut through it. The layer on top of that was so wet that it just smeared all over. It appeared to be extremely underbaked. I was so very disappointed to surprise my daughter with a cake that we couldn’t even eat after spending $85.

If I could rate 0 stars I would. I custom ordered a cake for my sisters birthday, it came out lopsided and looked like someone cut into it. Not worth the 85$ spent. The cake came in a used, dirty container, used plate with no proper packaging. After cutting into the cake I determined that it was made of jello consistency with Betty Crocker frosting, the cake itself was burnt. It was inedible. The frosting was out of a can, definitely not dairy free which she is allergic to. There's more frosting than actual cake. Owner refused to take ownership of her mistakes, she states that it was 'messed up' from transportation when nothing happened. She refused a refund. Waste of money. Thanks for ruining my sister's 18th birthday.

An internet search brought me to Sassy Vegan—and we are so grateful! Not only did we snag THE best vegan cake and some cupcakes that even our non-vegan friends and family enjoyed, but we also began using her meal prep options to save ourselves the time of cooking multiple meals. The food is so good, and we love the variety. The pricing is amazing and she is so friendly and easy to deal with! We can’t recommend her enough, especially for anyone with dietary restrictions!

Used to be good. Has drastically deteriorated. I used to say it was the best cakes and cupcakes. Sadly, not anymore. The cake we got was inedible. Extremely disappointed. Do not recommend.

Ordered meals for thanksgiving for me and my two sisters first fully vegan/gluten free thanksgiving and did not receive what we paid for. Multiple items were missing, and the food we did receive was inedible. The only thing we were able to eat was the pumpkin roll which was good I will say that. But the gravy was just chunks, the biscuits were stale and hard, and the vegan stuffed loaf was not stuffed or cooked, just a mushy unidentifiable patty. Super sad this happened as we were all really looking forward to it. Contacted the owner for a refund as this was a big budgeted purchase for us and no response other than they will look into it as of 12 days ago.

Great food, great people. I was introduced to The Sassy Vegan many years ago when a friend bought me some of their cupcakes from a farmer’s market, and I’ve loved this company ever since. Some of my personal favorites to get are the frosted sugar cookies and the cupcakes. If you follow them on social media they are always hosting wonderful events and fundraisers. Thank you!

I forgot I had this strawberry lemon cookie. I’ve tried a few different items from here and they’ve also tasted the same; like baking soda and baking powder combination with no hint of the advertising flavor. Maybe Sassy is still learning but this option for vegan dessert really isn’t it.
