Went with a group of ladies around 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday night and just an excellent experience all the way around. I loved the salad bar and I would definitely go back again. So many marvelously delicious choices!

We had the best experience we've ever had in many years of eating at Trolley last weekend! The last few times we came, we were just not wowed or impressed. This time was much different. We had the best server we've ever had of any restaurant we've ever been to (Jennifer), and the food and drinks and everything were all perfectly on point. They were very busy with the Savor Fort Wayne crowd but that did not affect anything. Jennifer took time to engage with our family, including my nearly 90 year old grandmother. She joked with my dad & I and paid special attention to our kids, and really went above and beyond in every aspect. Trolley went from being low on our lists of favorites to back near the top! We will most certainly be back and hope for the same experience again!

Salad bar was bland not enough seasonings..Sunday brunch was bland tasting..asked cook if he could cook prime rib a little longer, used his fingers to pick it up off plate and put on grill...

Love this place! The salad bar never disappoints. Drinks were made to my specific liking. The French onion soup is without a doubt the best in town. The spare ribs were tender, falling off the bone, glazed with a delicious sauce. Creme brulee... just heaven! Always great service from the warm and friendly staff. The genuine smiles and care for customers speaks volumes of the management. The cohesive environment and happy staff is reflected in the wonderful customer service. ⭐⭐⭐⭐

For the pricing they should consider new chairs, perhaps bathroom upkeep and a more cohesive salad bar.
Staff was nice, service was good, food was good except we were given incorrect plates.

Chicken wraps were a disappointment as soon as the plate came, didnt even look appetizing, horribly salty, nearly inedible. Should have stuck with salad bar.

Restaurantji Recommends
I’m rating this a 3 because of the owner/chef.
We decided to try this restaurant while passing through Fort Wayne. Unfortunately we had an extremely mixed experience. My salmon was fantastic, as well as our lobster tail. However, my friend ordered a pork chop, and requested it medium-well. When his food came out, the pork chop was extremely pink, fleshy, and rare. When we brought this to the attention of our server, Mckensee, she handled it extremely professionally. She was so quick to agree it was not made as specified and immediately offered for the pork chop to be exchanged for something else. All Mckensee wanted to do was fix the mistake the chef made. She talked us into trying the North Atlantic Pollock, which was outstanding.
As we were enjoying the rest of our meal, the chef/owner came out from the back to “apologize” to us. This man told us that when you order a pork chop rare, this is how it will come out. The chef went on to continuously tell us that the waitress should have explained to us how the rare pork chop would look. He continued to tell us multiple times that the waitress should have told us the pork chop was cooked correctly. He told us she should not have recommended the pork chop be cooked rare without telling us how it would look because that’s “her job.” First off, we did not order the pork chop rare, what psychopath wants rare pork. Second off, our waitress was outstanding at her job, extremely pleasant, helpful, and made us want to return. Thirdly, the chef blaming the waitress for his own mistake is unacceptable. Take accountability for your actions. Mistakes happen within restaurants, but accountability and respect in the service industry are essential. We were not rude at all about it, just worried about the possibility of us, or someone else, getting sick.
It was disappointing to see responsibility shifted to an excellent waitress, who did everything amazingly. I hope the owner/ chef genuinely apologize to Mckensee for his actions. Mckensee thank you for making our experience amazing! Thank you for keeping my tea filled and being so attentive. I’m so sorry that you’re not valued the way you deserve to be. We appreciate you!!

Got seated and after 20 min. No one even acknowledged we were at the table. As we walked out told guy at hostess station service ducked snd he just giggled. Would not recommend to anyone.
This was our third visit to Trolley Bar, and unfortunately it will likely be our last. Before arriving, we called to confirm salad bar hours and pricing and were told it ran until 4:00 PM. We arrived around 3:30 and ordered the salad bar along with a lunch calzone special, which was supposed to be our warm meal.
After waiting about 25 minutes, we overheard the server asking other staff whether the calzone had even been started. The waitress then asked if we still wanted it after the long wait; we declined, and she said she would remove it from the bill. With no warm food served, we ended up leaving hungry and stopping at McDonald’s afterward.
For a $60 tab on just two drinks and the salad bar, the experience was very disappointing. None of our salad plates were cleared during our visit.
To add to the confusion, we were charged dinner pricing for the salad bar despite being told lunch pricing ran until 4:00 PM. When we asked about it, the server said dinner pricing started at 2:00 PM—yet we were still allowed to order a “lunch calzone special,” which didn’t make sense.
The salad bar itself is good, but the poor service, long wait, and inconsistent pricing made this a frustrating experience, especially during a slow period.
