OMG I wished I'd looked at this page before trying the food at this restaurant! It was horrible! The quality as well as the quality and service was absolutely the worst! DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!!

Health department heads up is needed first and foremost. 10 minutes after being seated we went back up to the hostest and asked for a server. The server in the back room where we were seated never looked at us or bothered to get a server for us. A staff member came up to us apologized, took our drink and appetizer order then disappeared until another staff member came over, took our drink order, appetizers, and dinner and desert order again. Based on the photos from other reviews our crab Rangoon was served with raw dough and a massive helping of dip. We unfortunately ate the appetizer, later regretted (health dept). We spent most of the time waiting for our food and swooping away the fruit flies that kept landing on the heaping pile of dip left over. Once our food arrived about 40min later, it was burned, the noodles felt old when I put them in the dish, my child didn't eat much of anything, I lost my appetite. We waiting even longer for a server but no one showed up again so after getting up and tracking someone down again, see requested the bill and desert to go. The manager explained "someone must have taken your desert." Didn't buy it for one second. Waited even longer for the bill. Worst experience and very disappointing for this brand. Create your own bar was covered with food there was nowhere to put a tray. Food was not being rotated. Serious issues at this location. Corporate appears to be struggling with these same health, management, training issues repeated over and over in reviews. I would not recommend bringing your family into a Flat Top. The corner room in the back where we were seated was run down, the tv on the wall behind us wasn't even plugged in and just dangling for a kid to play with. Over all epic failure Flat Top to bottom!

Undercooked and way overpriced! There was still raw dough in the bao buns and the soup buns. The dumplings were old and the chicken bowl was such a small portion you are basically over paying for poorly cooked rice.

Yesterday I was lucky enough to experience my first meal at Flat Top Grill. Walking into the empty restaurant, I had no idea how impressed I would be, but I was hopeful. My companion, who is local to Fort Wayne, assured me that the "create-your-own-bowl" was worth the trip. Choosing shrimp and steak as my proteins, I was guided toward the buffet line to fill my bowl with noodles, grains, sauces, and vegetables. I chose noodles, peanut sauce, mushrooms, corn, and some crunchy items on top. Leaving my bowl on the counter to have my proteins cooked and mixed, I was surprised by how pleasing my food smelled, but the flavor was even better! I was really blown away! Despite how good everything was, the best part of the meal was our server, Rachel M. She had such good energy from the time we sat down until the time we paid. It's rare to find someone in the service industry (where she has worked for the past 14 years!) who brings this kind of positivity to one's dining experience, but Rachel was excellent! Overall, I had a great time at Flat Top Grill and won't hesitate to return when I'm back in Fort Wayne!

My red curry was burned. The service was slow and the whole place was dirty. It was so hard to get the first bowl that I refused to get a replacement. The light above the table had dead flies in it. I will be surprised if they last another year!!

This was my first time at this restaurant. The whole experience was awesome. I tried the create your own bowl. The concept was very nice. I liked how you could add as much or little of what you wanted. The choice of sauces was the added touch that took it over the top. The cooked final product was just too good. The server was to notch. She was so helpful. It is a definite on a return visit.

Rachel was our server and she was phenomenal! So positive, upbeat and gave us spot on service. The food was delicious too!

My husband and I took our nieces out for a day of shopping and lunch. We arrived around 11:15am on a Wednesday. We were warmly and promptly greeted and seated. Told our waitress, Rachel, would be with us soon and told about a margarita special. Maybe four other tables were occupied at this point. Rachel came and mentioned having a trainee with her. She did a great job explaining their process as this was the first time we've been there. They took our drink orders and said they'd come back for our orders. My nieces and I got the lunch special bowl and my husband ordered a bowl of ramen. He asked for it spicy but they don't cook it that way so Rachel said she could bring some additional spices to liven it up. My nieces and I went up to the stir-fry line to put all our items into our bowls. The line was a bit messy. A worker was in front of me filling an ordered ahead order. She yelled to someone to come clean it up and refill low items. She also then told the cooks they had two of the sauces mixed up and had them come change them. That could have been interesting for someone! They do have a nice selection of veggies and rices/noodles. There was also a couple fruit options. When we got to the sauces, I'm used to mixing our own together to create what we wanted but these all looked like pre-made mixes. I did the teriyaki and my nieces both chose the BBQ. We left our bowls there and headed back to our table to wait. It felt like a long time before our stir-fry came out. I'm used to standing and waiting for them to be made in front of us at similar places. I know they were also making the ramen come at the same time. We finally got our bowls and the flatbread was on top. We started eating. I wasn't a fan of the flatbread being placed on top and thus it got sauce on it. But the flatbread itself was tasty. I enjoyed my bowl although I'd have liked a stronger sauce flavor (I had added three ladles of sauce). My nieces both said the BBQ sauce was spicy for them. They ate their items but commented on that often. My husband didn't have high expectations for the ramen but said it was fine for what it was. Rachel did bring out the Thai spices she mentioned and that did help. They did a nice job with servicing our drinks and keeping them full. We were overall happy with Rachel and her trainee. We liked that we were able to pay via scanning the Google Pay QR code. Three stars because it was a longer meal than we had anticipated from a create your own stir-fry place, the prices were a bit high for the food quality, and the premixing of the sauces.

Food was excellent, if it's your first time, remember to put more sauce than you think you will need. The sauce cooks out of it. Service was great.

Arrived on a Thursday evening around 5:30 p.m. It took quite a while to get seated. One of the employees took the electronic device home which allows the employees to take your order. We got our drinks (water and pepsi) and waited to be allowed to head up to the buffet line. The both rice containers were nearly empty. Only one line was set up so the line took forever to get through. Everything was a nasty mess. Al the items needed refilling. There was stuff all over the floor. The red dishes were piling up with no staff to bring them to tables. A little girl ate noodles right out of the container. One staff member said the female boss is a lousy manager and she's taking a job elsewhere. After waiting 45 additional minutes with no food in site, we told the waitress we were leaving. We felt sorry for her and sorry for ourselves. We had supper elsewhere. The board of health needs to check it out :(

This was our first visit after it being recommended by friends. The service, atmosphere, selection, and of course the food, were all excellent. Our waitress was right there to explain the choices and process of getting 'a bowl' which is sort of like Mongolian BBQ, and was on top of drinks and soecial requests. Superb food and wait staff. We look forward to visiting again and hopefully seeing more locations.

Great service and food. Create your own so you are in control of the ingredients. Servicer was attentive and nice.

Dirty, slow. Terrible management. Food was good and price was fair but it's obvious the leadership of this restaurant doesn't know what they are doing.

After spending well over a hundred dollars for lunch I will not be back. Margaritas were tiny, sour & disgusting. The server (Jada) asked if I wanted salt or sugar on the rim. I said sugar (which she failed to tell me was an up charge) really an up charge for a rim of sugar?? Then she proceeded to take our order. She specifically said you chose 3 proteins out of the list she gave. Later when I looked at the texted receipt more closely she up charged us $3.99 for every single protein which made these ridiculous small bowls $25.00 each!! I had left a 20% tip as we were late to a movie and was my fault I didn't take the time to look over the receipt while I was there. As a business owner I cannot stand dishonest business practices. I will never be back to this restaurant. Not to mention the bathroom was disgusting. Everything needs a deep cleaning and a fresh coat of paint. Please retrain your staff on appropriate menu options and prices.
