Food is a amazing unique twist to the Cajun cuisine. Alot of options with each Etoufe having its own amazing flavor. They staff is amazing, Key the young lady at the register is all ways so helpful and patient. They offer samples of each dish so you don't regret what get. Food was so amazing this my first ever review.

Delicious flavorful food, good variety, and super helpful and kind staff members. Key was very helpful and let us try some samples of dishes we had yet to try! We ended up getting what we tried, very good!

I really wanted to like this place, but the theme of this review is “death by a thousand paper cuts”’. So many little and easy fixes that would make this place so much better.I had a number of questions that summarize my experience at yats that I asked my self as soon as I walked through the doors for lunch on a weekend. Why are the tables arranged so strangely? Why is the staff clearly doing admin work with their backs to their customers? Why is there no food in the front-of-house? Why is the bar area clearly being used as storage? Why is every other food item I ask for out of stock? Why do they have so few side options? Why do they want me to sample so much? Why did I get so little meat in my entree? These questions, among others, plagued my time at Yats.I understand that we live in Indiana, in a town that is probably culturally the opposite of bayou living. And I understand that this restaurant is a chain and likely limited in how it can operate by its ownership. But can we put in at least the minimum amount of effort to make this an enjoyable dining experience? I think we have enough good food options here in Fort Wayne where I can be more critical of a restaurant if their effort is clearly lacking.I’m not sure what bothers me the most about Yats. The redeeming note is that the flavors of the entrees are good and the bones of this establishment are there. I tried 4 entree options and had maybe 5 chunks of chicken and 2 pieces of sausage throughout those 4 options. If I am paying sit-down prices, then I would like to have some more meat in my meal because I am certainly not paying for the atmosphere here. And the lack of side options was mind boggling. There were 3 sides available to me and they were out of the options that were not garlic bread. I like garlic bread, but this was just a French roll — barely toasted — with some garlic butter smeared over it. I understand Cajun cooking doesn’t naturally lend itself to having side dishes, but can we get some fried okra? Can we get some collard greens? Corn bread? Dirty rice? Red beans and rice? Any other traditionally southern dishes? We live in Indiana, I am just looking for any taste of the south during these cold winter months! And why is there no food out on the giant counters and prep stations they have here in the dining area? There was essentially zero effort to showcase any of the food and there was no effort to try and convince the customer that there was any semblance of freshness as our server goes to the back and comes back 30 seconds later with humid to-go boxes.Besides the food, the atmosphere was obnoxiously lackluster. I mentioned it above, but you are paying sit-down prices. So can we get a little effort to organize the dining room, put the chairs right-side-up and put away the card board boxes of styrofoam cups and lids? And the food is given to you in to-go boxes regardless of if you are dining in or taking to go.But again, the flavors are there (which is why this review gets 2 stars). So this place isn’t entirely lost. There are so many easy fixes here that I can see this place improving. Showcase your food on the counter tops, put some effort into the side options and actually having them in stock, do your admin work in the back-of-house, organize the dining area, etc. I really wanted to like this place, as southern/cajun style food has a special place in my heart. But unfortunately I probably will not be back due to the aforementioned reasons. So what am I paying for? The flavors are there and that’s encouraging. But every other aspect of this dining experience was disappointing. If you’re itching for some Cajun flavors, this may scratch that itch. But if you’re looking for a creole/cajun dining experience — you are certainly paying that type of price — then I would look elsewhere.

The food was super delicious and flavorful! Very quick and affordable. But even better was the wonderful service from Ab. He helped me decide what I wanted and recommended the perfect thing for me. Very friendly and helpful with a lot of expertise! Ab seemed like such a sweet person and definitely made me want to come back to try more things from the menu! Good service truly makes a place great and keeps people coming back! Thank you Ab!

I absolutely love Yats but, this is the worst Yats I have been to. The jambalaya was literally just rice, no meat or veggies. Bread was not very fresh and no other flavor than butter. They had no beer, and did not have sauces that were listed on their board. I understand the ONLY employee was working with what they had, but this was by far the worst Yats (between Indy and the solo Muncie location). The atmosphere is fake and does not show any pride in Cajun cuisine or the creole lifestyle. Will not be coming back to this location.

Love this place. Indy and ft wayne have both been excellent. Very unique and different from the normal fare around here. Great food, service and ambiance.

Everytime I have been here the workers are really polite and quick with the orders. The employee, Key, has been a great help every time. The menu has so many options with the ability to combine different menu items making whole new experiences every time. I can't express how good the food and service has been and have been recommending this place to everyone I know since. Highly highly recommended!

I stopped in to Yats at Jefferson Point in Fort Wayne for the first time and was greeted by AB, a very friendly manager. He gave me a couple of samples that I loved, so I ordered a meal that was so delicious! There are many healthy choices from which to choose! The music was melodious jazz and so beautiful. I'm so glad there is a Yats in Ft. Wayne! Sincerely, M.J.S.

I was told about this place by a friend, especially the peanut butter pie. The place has an ok vibe and the service was great, encouraging free samples. I wasn't blown away by the food, not my favorite and wasn't a "I'll definitely come back" notion for me. It was prepared well but "meh" for me. The big thing was they were out of the pie when I came. So if you like Cajun stuff, I'd say try it. I just won't go back because there's not much pulling me back.

I had been wanting to try this place. It was a big disappointment. I had the gumbo and my husband had the red beans and sausage. The gumbo missed in flavor. The beans and sausage were dried out. Both etoufees were over rice, which was mushy and over cooked. Neither one of us could finish our meals. It was a waste of $30.00.

Cheap prices, big servings, fast and good service, amazing food. I need to add a bunch more words to post this so I suppose I'll type a few more words to get it and I think I got it good.
