I really like the place, decent food, and it was convenient. When the new owners jacked the prices up like a 5-star restaurant, I stopped going. It could be a great place with the right people!
The new owners seem intent on running the place into the ground. What a shame, I used to love 100 mile.I was the only person there at 1pm and the owner had me look at the menu on his phone. All the prices have gone way up. The tall beer I ordered was 2/3 foam and even that took 10 minutes. Paying the bill takes longer than anything else. I'm just done with this place
Can no longer recommend. Period.Wasn't a bad place, but now seems to be under new ownership. Prices have about doubled. We're talking like, Disneyworld restaurant prices here. $25 for a steak wasn't horrible before, but now it costs about $40. In Fowler... The middle of nowhere. Appetizers are now like $15. I know there is such a thing as inflation, but there is also such a thing as price gouging. These prices would be on the high end at a nice restaurant in Lafayette, but in the middle of Fowler, they're insane.I can only hope the place goes out of business soon, so someone else can take over...
Always an excellent dinner, especially the black&blue cheese sirloin! Always cooked to perfection! The only hard part is saving room for dessert!
The food is always good, the staff is always friendly.Used to love this place but will NEVER go back while these new people own it.Price gouging at its finest!! I called in our order my husband picked it up.He was furious. They charged us 76 dollars for 2 average ribeyes and 2 regular sides of Cole slaw like you get at KFC. That was all we ordered!!I realize prices have gone up but this is unexscubable!! Another person was charged 63 dollars for 3 hamburgers and fries.I highly doubt it will stay open unless the bar keeps them going...
Great food. Nice peopleBest chili I ever ate.
The food here was excellent! We didn't have to wait long at all, and the waitresses were very nice.
The 100 Mile House has severely declined in quality of food and in the quality of the service under the new management. If I could give zero stars I would. We ate at the restaurant on Saturday evening Feb 11, 2023. The restaurant was far from busy yet the service was very slow. It took us 45 minutes to receive our food. When the salads came out the lettuce was brown. When we pointed it out to the waitress she replied “I know.”The food came out very spread out for each member of the party. From the first person to the last person it was over ten minutes before everyone received their meal. My wife ordered the fried catfish which was raw in the center. Steaks that were supposed to be medium rare came out well done. Steamed vegetables were still ice cold in the center. The new owner never once came out from behind the register to speak to us about the problems. When it came time to pay the bill the raw fish which had been sent back was still on the bill. We had to find the manager ourselves to complain about being charged for an inedible meal. The restaurant then could not run any of our credit/debit cards. After 15 min of the owner trying we finally had to ask for the cards back to pay by cash. Now a week later and we have charges from the restaurant for the meal that we paid in cash.
Yesterday was my family’s first time at the restaurant. Food was great, can’t complain about that. Although a kids meal ONLY came with a hot dog. No fries, drink etc., $5 for a single hot dog & I also never received my side salad, but the rest of the food was great. One of our issues was that we were the ONLY table in the place and the service was slow. My husband’s entree and mine came out at the same time but we had to wait longer for our kids food. We were still okay with that, still planned on coming back because there were other things on the menu that we wanted to try. The server (owner/mangers wife) dropped our check when we were finished and disappeared well over 10 minutes. I eventually went up to the host stand to pay for the bill, still no server around. The owner/manager(?) took our payment. We take the kids to the car & I walk back inside because they wanted gum balls and now our server is just sitting at the host stand. Doesn’t even notice that we’ve already paid and left. She then runs out and follows me to my car questioning on why we didn’t pay because “she didn’t see us”. That right there alone will make us NEVER come back. If she was paying attention to the ONLY table she had, she would have known we paid AND tipped her 20%.
Don't eat at the 100mile house in fowler Indiana.Nasty food. Very rude owner. Not worth it. To much for dog food. They took bf food back that he didn't touch and Still charged him for it .

So glad we stopped here on our way back to Ohio. The friendly atmosphere was instant the moment we walked in. Our meals were outstanding!
Have always had good food. Today was not impressed. Don’t advertise a fish sandwich if it’s processed fish stick’s basically. The ham and cheese sandwich was very bland. For the price we ended up playing food was not worth it.
Parking: Good
The staff and food are amazing. We are frequent customers because of all the hard work that make our visits a great experience.
Clear frequent guests here. I've been eating at this restaurant for 60 years through different ownership. I think anything on the menu will be good. The service is friendly and the prices are extremely reasonable.
Small Town atmosphere with small town prices. Worth the drive.
