The food my family was cold and have of it came out after the rest of the food and they Totally forgot my grandson food. When the management came over she said that she would Reheat the food. I don't no why she didn't offer to just remake the food because if I want to reheated food I could go home and get food out of my refrigerator and eat.the Is Waitress didn't come and get us new drinks I had to wait it the management came to talk to me. Then when we got our bill, she only took $10 and some change off. And I told her about it and she said that we still ate the food even though it was cold. So obviously we didn't have a problem with it. Also, we didn't have no other choice other than eat the cold food or have them reheat it and eat reheated food. I don't think we should have had to pay full price for cold food or reheated food. Maybe they should have done it right in the first place. Not no $100 for food that was messed up. When I asked For the Manager's boss's number or Or. How the contact her boss over it.She said she couldn't give me the information Which is not right.There should be always a way to get a hold The owner of the business Or The corporate. My mother in law loves this place. However, I've been here two times and both times, the food has been sub-par. If you're looking for authentic Mexican, this is not it. The first time I went here I ordered the sopes and they are not like traditional sopes, so for me it was a disappointment. Today, I ordered Arroz con pollo, and it was decent. But again, it was nothing close to authentic Arroz con pollo. It's just seasoned chicken over rice with queso blanco. Their salsa and chips are good. My wife ordered a chicken quesadilla, and it was very bland. Our waitress didn't provide the best service, but you can definitely tell she tried her best. Overall, I wouldn't really go back unless my mother in law wanted us to come with her.
Parking: There is street parking, but good luck finding a spot close to the restaurant.

Decided to try this place out again because quite honestly, the dining options in Frankfort are just really lacking. I was just as disappointed as the last time I ate there, the food is so bland, not even sure if the beef is real meat. Within an hour of being home had the worst stomachache! Won't make that mistake again.

I love Mexican food!!!! I have tried alot of Mexican restaurants all over Indiana. Pepes was by far the worst I have been to. Aside from the restaurant itself having a smell of cat urine/mildew, the food was absolutely disgusting. My husband and I only ate a couple of bites and left. $30 for two lunch combos that we couldn't even stomach the taste of. My chicken taco was supposed to be hard shelled and they brought me soft shelled which didn't matter to me, however it being soaking wet and falling apart did. The enchilada I got looked like it had a piece of orange cheese slice melted on top, and I didn't even taste it after tasting the taco and the rice. My husband ate a couple bites and asked for the check. They seated us quickly and took our order and our food was brought right out to us not even 5 mins later. This is the most disappointing restaurant experience I have ever had. I grew up in frankfort my entire childhood and some of my young adult life and had never been to Pepes, turn out I wasn't missing anything. I think the only plus side to this restaurant may be the margaritas if you like to drink, however I didn't try one.
