Horrible will not be back
Food was excellent, when it arrived. We waited nearly 45 minutes, which worried us as we had somewhere to go,
This place is a joke. Service absolutely sucked. Got seated in the “forgotten room”, hostess never informed the servers we were seated. 2 separate tables were seated for almost a half hour before being greeted by the server. Careful what you order, they might not have the food in the kitchen. 15 minutes after ordering, tables are being informed that menu items are no longer available. I understand the restaurant claimed to be busy, but we were a table of 6 and seated immediately and there was not a waitlist when we arrived. If you want to just come and have a beer and have nothing else to do, this is your place. Want to order food, bring a sack lunch while you wait. We canceled our order and went next door to the Mexican restaurant. I am all about small businesses succeeding, when there is zero communication on problems or even greeting, that’s a people problem.
More local bar than microbrewery. And that's not a bad thing. Great selection of craft brew and a decent menu of food. Great place to just hang out.
Visited Shale Creed Brewing for an early dinner. Enjoyed a SPECIAL that night - BBQ Brisket Sandwich. And with the skilled service by Monica. She was great. I'd want to have her on my staff - if I had a staff. But the highlight of the meal was the French Fries. They receive my BEST FIRES OF 2024 award. I don't think they can be topped. I'll be back.
Franklin is a really cool town BTW. Visit and stop at Shale Creek Brewing.
Awesome Dinner tonight! Me and my fiancé ventured out to try something new in downtown Franklin. Decided to try Shale Creek tonight and it was phenomenal. Breaded tenderloin and the cowboy brisket sandwich was awesome! Appetizer was the cheese curd and it was great as well. Service was friendly and we greatly appreciate that! ???????⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Cool place had the Irish red
Good to go!
Excellent food! Ate there on a Saturday night and returned on Sunday! Large portions and great service. Worth the drive from Shelbyville.
I walked in with a group of 6 on a busy evening. The server never even bothered to acknowledge us other than looking at our table and rolling her eyes. After about 10-15 minutes we walked out. I'll spend my money elsewhere.
Google and their door says they are open on Sundays until 8pm. I drove 30 min and got there at 6pm and someone told us they close their kitchen at 5pm and lock the doors at 6pm. As we were leaving to go back to our car at least 10 other people tried to open the doors but they were locked. Please change the times on the door and google so no one else tries to eat there after 6 on Sundays.

Both great and so-so at this local eatery. Ordered the smash burger special which is made with their own ground beef cuts and served with grilled onions. The burger was honestly one of the best burgers I've ever had and the bun they used was terrific. It came with fries that might have been top drawer if they were piping hot, but by the time my order got to our table it they were on the way to being cold. I love slaw so I ordered a side of theirs which is made with apples. It was a $3 side, on the small side and was fermented / rancid as if it had been made two weeks ago. The cabbage looked as if it was starting to turn brown. Our sever was quick to take it back and remove it from our bill without hesitation and her service was good. My companion ordered a salad topped with chicken. It looked like it was made with iceberg lettuce and definitely not field greens or a more nutritious product. The dining room sound bounces around in the historic building with concrete floors and high ceilings and the dining room was kind of cold which made the dining experience a little uncomfortable to me. Despite the things that were off about our meal, I would go back because that burger was so darn good.
This place was a surprise to us. Every beer we tried was amazing. And the food was great! I had the smokehouse wrap! Go try this place!!
Great food and great service! Highly recommend!
Friendly staff, great food, and decent beer.
Tacos were different but amazing flavors. Pulled pork, slaw I think, and apples with some sort of amazing sauce. Couldn’t pass up a side of Mac and cheese either. Add that to good beer, and can’t go wrong.
