1823 Bakehouse made our wedding cake! They were so lovely to work with and the cake was delicious! It was so fun to have the opportunity, as a gluten free individual, to still customize our cake and having something I knew would be safe to eat! They delivered the cake day of and it was an overall great experience. Plus, it was always fun to try new treats each time we went in!

Went for the first time and they were out of choc chip cookies. They said come back in 10 minutes and they'd have some made. And we they did and they were one of the best choc chip cookies I've ever had. I consider myself a cookie conisour (cookie monster). ?

I came as an out of town guest on a Saturday morning at 10am. Plenty of free parking out front and plenty of places to sit. Service was not quick, but I was not in a rush. Everything is gluten free and downright delicious. Between my friend and I, we tried the biscuits and gravy, cinnamon roll, and banana chocolate chip muffin. I recommend them all! They do have more than baked goods, so check them out for lunch or breakfast. They also have kombucha on tap with some delicious sounding flavors. Their restroom was clean and there were plenty of cute Knick knacks for sale. A cozy, fun shop!

Yummy gluten-free desserts and food. The banana bread is to die for. When I am craving a gluten-free sandwich, first place I go. Also, dairy-free options.

I have driven by this place many times and finally made time to stop with my kids. We came on a Wednesday morning and it wasn't busy at all, so we were able to park right in front of the building. The inside is clean and nicely decorated with lots of things for sale on shelves. We picked up some tea and stickers as gifts and will be back for other things eventually! The food was great! we got some kind of pumpkin roll cake, cinnamon roll muffin, and chocolate muffin. I even was able to grab a dairy free banana bread for a friend! We sat and ate at the window and watched the goings on around downtown. The woman working at the register was super helpful when helping me pick out a tea. Sweet little place and can't wait to go back!

This was our first time here - I was super excited because everything is GF. I’m gluten free but my husband isn’t. We got the biscuits and gravy, the Cuban sandwich, and a donut. The gravy was great! The biscuits were a little bit dry and sweet for my taste, but they were still good. The donut was very good but I was hoping for something more like a traditional yeast donut. It was more of a cake one but it was iced and the icing was sweet and delicious. The star of the show was the Cuban though! The bread was great held up well, which doesn’t happen with GF bread. The sandwich was flavorful and really good. The shop is cute and cozy. We’ll definitely be back!Dietary restrictions: Gluten free establishment with other common allergens marked well.

I would give this place seven out of five stars if possible!!! I would move to Franklin for this café!! This is hands down my favorite cafe in all of Indiana! This restaurant is literally free of almost all allergens I don’t know how they have achieved this culinary magic but they did! Their food is absolutely incredible I got the blonde Cuban sandwich and it’s the best one I have ever had in this state especially because it’s gluten free!! I got some of their other baked goods because I live far away from here and they do not disappoint! Their baked goods are amazing because they were not overly sweet like most gluten free products. Cannot express how underrated this cafe is.

I have been eating here for several years and have always been impressed with all their gluten free creations. The service has gotten a little less personal and less friendly over time, and they seem understaffed at times, but overall the quality of the food and coffee remains and I am still a happy customer. I am very grateful for a delicious restaurant dedicated to gluten free folks. It's the only one of its kind in the area!
