This is one great dive!.. from the outside you think ? I dunno... lol But the food and service, speaks for itself at Tomo..Japanese Steakhouse classics in a diner atmosphere without the tableside hibachi. But there is no lack of quality or taste to this little treasure. The family running it, is the prime example of putting your heart into your craft. Great food, great service, just a little left to achieve on the atmosphere and curb appeal... but this place is fantastic. 5 stars from this Hibachi fanatic.

Pure negligence when making customers meals. I found five plus piece sized pieces of plastic in my hibachi meal. It's hard plastic and almost cracked a tooth. I'm sure I probably swallowed some too. I'm not sure if a spatula or cooking or tinsell broke off or something. Regardless comma this is unacceptable. Definitely check your food at this place. ALWAYS. The crab rangoons were also undercooked, very raw dough. Never again!

I have been coming to Tomo for years and they never disappoint! The food is always great and the employees are always helpful and happy to help. I always suggest Tomo when someone ask where to get the best food. My only complaint is that I wish they would bring back their old Pork Gyoza's as they were amazing and the new one's just don't compare however they are still very tasty and the Gyoza sauce is amazing as ever!Parking: Alway's has parking available

DEAD FLY IN MY GREEN TEA - NO ACKNOWLEDGMENT, APOLOGIES OR DISCOUNT GIVEN. Changed review from 5 star to 1 star. I gave Tomo a go despite the rude lady. I ordered sushi, edamame and hot green tea, and tipped 20%. She brought the sushi w one set of chopsticks, even though I was there w my daughter. I asked her for another set, she said I could go get it myself. I still let that slide. She brought my green tea over and thank goodness I looked before I sipped. There was a fly in my tea! I took it back to her, she didn't apologize, dumped the tea and started brewing a fresh batch, she didn't even toss the cup. I was expected to drink out of the same cup. I told her I needed to go, she asked me wait for my tea. I finally broke and asked for a refund for my tea. In any other scenario - the restaurant would apologize and take the whole check off. Shame on Tomo. Never again will I go there and get treated like crap. I am disappointed in myself for standing up for myself but I was with a 6 yo and didn't want to stress my child out. SHAME ON TOMO.Intial Review should no longer be considered but here it is for transparency - I ate lunch here for the first time a few weeks ago, ordered the signature Tomo Roll and... WOW!!! The tomo roll was an absolute delight, I will be going back even though I'm an out-of-towner.

Had pork gyoza, dumplings soup, and the spicy salmon rolls. Food was very delicious, service was timely, overall had a great time. Only complaint and its minor is even though we were dining in, they have us a plastic container for the dumpling soup. I would suggest they invest in some bowls as carry out containers aren’t the most friendly item for hot food.
