I'm from out of town and my girlfriend is from England and she said the food was absolutely delicious! I had the fish and chips and it was banging! Black bean dip, out of this world! Lots of really good beers and really good food. Highly recommend

I've lived in Grant County all my life and in Gas City for years and had never eaten here. Man, I've been missing out! The food is excellent, big portions and not expensive. The staff is cool and knowledgeable also. It's definitely a new favorite of my husband and I's!

I cannot say I'm a fan of the concept, but I truly enjoyed my burger and fries. I tried my GFs fish and felt, it was rubbery. Was not flaky and required a fork and steak knife to cut up and eat. She did not really like it and everyone seemed, just ok, with their meals. I enjoyed the place and service was good. You may like it, so give it a try.
Great little place! They have some wonderful gluten free options and the service is first rate. It's nice to have something good and different to eat in this rural corner of Indiana so we'll definitely be back!

I live 40 + mile north east of here , I Often Wondered about Payne’s passing Thru Gas City , Stopped Today , for Lunch , the Soup of the Day is Served Seasonal, So it was Lentil Today - Best I Ever Had . Ordered the Large Fish & Chips ….. the North Atlantic Cod was Breaded Delightfully ( Just Enough to Get a Crisp Golden Texture and Not To Thick ) . Fries the Same - Perfectly Golden ,,,,. Staff was Extremely Impressive by the Knowledge of How the Entree’s are Prepared and Ingredients - As Fresh as Your Going to Get - Great Service , Nice Atmosphere , Classical & , Symphony Style Background Music . I’ll be Back and Bring Others with Me
