I like finding new places to eat. I live in Laporte and happen to be coming back from Michigan and stopped in for lunch. Im so glad I did. The bartender/waitress was very friendly and had suggested I try the original BBQ....glad she did I liked it better than the sweet. i ordered the brisket with apple slaw. Also the feta sweet potatoes for an appetizer. Those where Fabolous! Really every restaurant should have those on their menus.

I have lived in Texas the past 8 years and tried a ton of bbq. Came home to visit and tried the rib tips and they were excellent! Not just drowned in sauce like most places! Def recommend stopping in. I will be certainly be back.

Terrible! I ordered and paid for the Dean burger with a side of Brussels. The burger was way over done and the pulled pork advertised to be on top of the burger was missing. The Brussels were raw and topped with a bacon jam glaze.
Really good food but service was incredibly slow.
The larger mobile orders combined with a small staff meant that our relatively smaller order took 45 minutes.
Server was nice but was only around once to refill our drinks during the near hour and a half we spent there simply due to being pulled everywhere else.

It was our first time there. The waitress went above and beyond. I wish I could remember her name (long blonde hair and glasses). The establishment was clean. The food was delicious. We will definitely go back. I ordered the pulled pork with Mac and Cheese.

Great place for bbq. Homemade BBQ sauces. Memphis was my favorite. Burnt ends were delicious, and the 1/2 lb. Of the pulled pork was awesome to try all of their sauces. Watch out for the habanero sauce it has quite the bite but is very good. Worth the drive from the Fourwinds southbend. I would ok gave it 5 stars but it was very cold inside when I went.

I stressed to the waitress that I wanted a VERY lean brisket sandwich and even repeated myself. For $18 I expected it to be pretty spectacular. When I got home, I opened the container and was shocked to see melted cheese on the measly slices of meat. Who puts cheese on brisket??? I'm from Texas and would have been laughed out of the city. Well, I had to trim 1/3 of the meat to get to my liking and swore i would never step foot in that place again. The sandwich (no sides) was worth $5., not $18. I was robbed.

The wife and I stopped in for some bbq. The food was good and so was the service. We tried the Brisket Nacho’s and Pulled pork Mac N’ Cheese, and I thought they were delightful. We plan on returning.

I have tried this place twice now. The Gouda burger was the best burger, I have had, full of flavor and tender. I really loved their dishes. Im a bbq fan and they get five stars. Staff was fabulous!

Found Dean's on TripAdvisor and thought I'd try it. Smaller place but a lot of people. I wasn't sure if you ordered at the counter or table service, and I finally asked at the bar. I sat near the door, and the server came to take the drink order for ice tea. Being my first time here, I wanted to try several things. I ordered the smoked quest dip with chicken under the shareable. It came with homemade chips. This stuff is to die for. I could have eaten this as a meal. I also ordered the pulled pork and fries. After I ordered, the place filled up. Another server brought my dip. No plates were brought, and no one came back, so I ate just off the appetizer plate. Again, this was wonderful. Spicy tortilla chips with almost like a rub on them. The dip was thick with shredded chicken.
They brought huge plate of small shoestring like fries, not super crispy, which is my preference and not dripping with grease. There was no ketchup on the table.
The pulled pork was tender and good but without any sauce. The original server came back as I was almost done. I asked for BBQ sauce, ketchup, and sweetener for my tea. She brought a small container of sauce and an unmarked bottle of ketchup, which I guess is also homemade. It was the consistency of applesauce. She also brought another glass of iced tea and apologized that she had gotten busy with other guests. I asked for to-go containers and the check. She brought 2 brown cardbard containers that needed to be folded. Nothing for the dip. I again asked for a container, specifically for the dip, which she brought a round plastic container.
Prices: dip $10, hand cut fries $6, 1/2# of pulled pork $8, tea $2.25. With tip, it was just over $31. Granted, I made another meal from the leftover, and it was surely good. I will return and know to request ketchup and sauce the next time.

Not great food for the price. Staff was pleasant, but quality of food isn't enough to warrant a return trip.
