Deans Barbecue and Restaurant

We love everything we’ve ever tried, and I especially love the sourcing of their quality meats. I make a mean brisket of my own, but not quite as tasty as Dean’s. The Kansas City sauce is our favorite, followed by Carolina and Pit. We had brisket and pulled pork for my son’s First Communion and were hoping for leftovers, but barely had a few bites left. Outstanding food and flavor!! We’ll continue to be customers as long as they continue doing exactly what they do.

Music set at a good volume. Good and timely on food brought to table. Comfortable atmosphere. Check out the picture. Sweet potatoes and Brussel sprouts are awesome.

Tried for the first time and overall not a good experience. Service was slow, took forever to bring drinks out. They ended up bringing us the wrong food and after they realized it was mixed up and already had ate parts of it, brought it to the correct table. The food was also not good. The chicken sandwich was veiny and the burgers were both not cooks right. All their sauces (including ketchup and ranch) are homemade. The ketchup had the same texture as a salsa and the ranch tasted spoiled. Overall overpriced for the quality of food and service.

We used Deans to cater a wedding of 125 people this past weekend. They customized our menu the way we wanted. They delivered, set up, and made our event special. The best part: EVERYONE loved the food! The compliments are still coming in. Brisket, Chicken, green beans, sweet potato with goat cheese, grits (huge hit here), slaw.... Deans did an exceptional job and the food was even better!!! Thank you so much!!!

Incredible food, different dishes, barbecue like no other. I got the Loaded potatoes, the first time, and then the loaded fries, Phil even has even barbecue brussels sprouts!! amazing!!

The reviews here were very deceiving. We tried it a few weeks ago based on all the good reviews. The atmosphere was typical for this kind of place. Our waitress was amazing, even though we were ordering to go. While we waited she kept refilling our waters, and informing us of the wait time updates on our order.

My husband and I were having dinner and a movie at home. Dinner was a disaster we ordered 3 meals to share. Smoked Wings (sauce on the side), Mac N Cheese, Brisket with fries. And a Mac N cheese meal that came with brisket in it. I also ordered a side of the cornbread. The wings looked they had been fried without breading, not smoked and had no smoked flavor. They were huge steroid looking wings (which I hate). I assume the sauce covers up the lack of smoked flavor for others. The brisket wasn't any better in flavor (tender yes) almost as if boiled first, I could be wrong. Either way we didn't like any of the food and wasted $70 because it all went to the trash. People are visual, so here is a photo of the cornbread I was sold. I can't believe whoever boxed it would allow it to leave the restaurant with a customer. It should have been trashed the minute it came out of the oven burnt.

My husband and I stopped in for the second time and had the BEST shrimp and grits I've ever eaten. He ordered the brisket nachos and we both loved those too! Such a great dinner, we'll definitely be back.

It's a small, casual place that seems like their mission is to provide great barbecue selections with great service. We had a group of 8 people, which they handled with ease. I had the brisket sandwich, which I highly recommend,but am anxious to go back and try everything else on the menu.

First time at Dean's & will definitely be back! Great selection of specialty cocktails, mocktails, ciders & beer. I had the BBQ Burnt Ends & fries. It was a good size portion & didn't disappoint!
Others at my table had a few Mac n cheese variations all of the said were really good. Would like to go back to try their Bread Pudding. They do make a lot of things in house down to the ketchup & some of the syrups used in their cocktails. If you haven't been yet, put Dean's on your list of places to eat!
