Had to write a review to praise Jesse, the owner who was very welcoming as soon as I opened the door. Bobbi the coal oven master, who made my amazing food. Morgan who was very attentive and served me cold Peroni’s! The food is made from scratch, you can tell the dough is fresh and never frozen, including all of their menu items. This place is a hidden gem in Granger and I look forward to my return. Thank you for the great hospitality JC’s staff!

We went for lunch as a family and were warmly greeted by who I think was the owner. He sat us and brought my younger kiddos pizza dough to play with which they loved. It was messy but easy to clean off their clothes later.
We ordered the garlic bread knots and a half cheese half hot honey pepperoni pizza. The hot honey pepperoni was very good. The bread knots were a little dry and the cheese pizza was pretty basic which is why I only give food four stars but overall the food was great.
Kid-friendliness: The owner and staff were very welcoming to our kiddos and even gave them dough to play with.

Everything about this place is wonderful. Best pizza, best wings, best atmosphere, best people. It's so good that my wife demanded this be the place we go first after her transplant surgery. Not only that, but it was her birthday. This is where she wanted to go to celebrate life and a new, brighter future. You might not think a pizza joint could be that special, but this place is.

Traveling across country, we stopped for the night in Grainger Indiana. JC's restaurant name and outer appearance immediately grabbed our attention as we drove by. It did not disappoint! Great vibe inside. We were greeted with a genuine smile from the seating hostess. Next the owner, Chef JC, came out and personally welcomed us to the restaurant, shook our hands, and pointed out menu options with highlights of popular offerings. Throughout the dinner, we could hear JC verbally giving kudos to his staff for their good work - very encouraging. We split a delicious Caesar salad - which came with homemade dressing, shaved Parmesan and sprinkles of gorgonzola - and a medium chicken bruschetta pizza. The pizza was AMAZING! The fresh garlic, roasted mushroom, diced tomato, chicken and cheese toppings were perfectly balanced. The drizzle of aged balsamic brought it all together into a symphony of flavor! JC came back to check on us during the meal and thanked his customers as they left, showing appreciation for their support of his small business. It was truly a welcome pleasure to relax after a long day of driving and enjoy a most satisfying meal at JC's Coal Oven Pizza restaurant. We will be back on our next trip out East!
