Over the last year or two Mexican restaurants have gone down dramatically in my opinion. And I was disappointing cuz it's one of my favorite go-tos. Ranchera has emerged well. Their service is excellent, the restaurant's very clean and pleasant, and the carne asada, beans, rice were excellent. Beans and rice isn't something you should be getting from a can! I feel like they're making them on site, and the carne asada (in light of some hurdles in our food supply...

Being a truck driver been to many Mexican Restaurants and this one is by far the best. I had the steak & shrimp platter with a Mexican Coca-Cola a side of tortilla chips with white cheese dip and pico;)

Honestly, the food here is pretty good. It’s the standard Mexican fare that you’ll encounter throughout Indianapolis. We typically get take out here, but we’ve also eaten in. Pricing is reasonable, maybe a tad bit on the higher side. Only item I would steer clear of is the ribeye steak…it’s way too fatty. The taste was fine, just a lot of fat. Stick to the Mexican dishes.
