Good chicken! It's different from a lot of the other chicken in the area, so don't go in expecting pan fried pepper chicken. The wings are really good, the fries are excellent, the beer is cold, and the service is excellent. The menu depends on the day, so look ahead before you go.
The fried chicken, mash potatoes & green beans was killer. I'm not big on any kind of gravy and their chicken gravy was the best. I wanted to bring it home. Unfortunately I ate everything, even that is rare for me.
If you have not had fried chicken from The Fireside Inn you are really missing out... Situated 3 mi off of interstate 74 it's a must eat at if you really enjoy fried Chicken... It just get a fried chicken as you will get anywhere in the country as far as I'm concerned.... They also have really cold beer for those that are interested in that beverage...
