This 1 star review is not for the direct staff of this Papa John’s. This 1 star review is for the area/district/regional managers that do not allocate enough money to their stores to allow for more staff on site. As a manager myself, I was APPALLED. I ordered a large pizza and garlic knots at about 12:45pm on 9/23/25, just to find out that this man has been ALONE at that store since they opened at 10am. Not only is that a SERIOUS safety liability that I’ll be reporting, it’s also pure corporate greed on the side of the manager. They get bonuses if they meet certain labor thresholds, and apparently that means letting this poor guy make pizzas by himself for 3 hours. I used to work at dominos and we HAD to have 2 people in the morning, due to our volume and the amount of prep to be done in the morning. And god FORBID there was an accident on site!!! I know your managers are watching these reviews like a hawk, and when you read this, I hope you know you should be ASHAMED of yourselves. That man was a saint and despite being alone, his demeanor was nothing other than friendly and professional.

Friendly efficient staff. The pizza was hot and cooked perfectly. The tomato sauce was fresh tasting (not burnt and acidic). And the prices are reasonable. Thank you.

Seems like this particular Papa John’s is going down hill, Pizza seems half cooked and is nowhere near as good as it was in the past. Ordered several times from this location with the same results. Shelbyville Papa John’s still makes a good pizza.

Guy at the counter made me sit there and wait ten minutes just to be like “oh what was your name again” just to pull the pizzas out that has been sitting there the whole time. So I just waited ten minutes sitting there for nothing. Probably gonna be cold by the time I get home

Worst company ever. Waited almost two hours for the food. Then when I tried to inquire when it was going to arrive no one would answer the phone. Then I tried online chat and got told my food had already been delivered when it wasn't. So I started driving to the store just to find it completely packed. Couldn't even talk to anyone about this. Will never EVER order from here again.

This is the worst Papa John’s. Ownership/managment clearly doesn’t care about the normal Papa John’s process. Very slow and always understaffed or undertrained on the staff that’s here.

Food was 45 minutes late and cold as hell. You are not able to call the store directly you get a call center in Bangladesh India and they tell you that there is no way to contact the store directly. Absolutely one of the worst restaurants in town and that's saying something.
