Sassafras Lunch & Tea Room

Hosted a Bridal shower, absolutely a beautiful experience! Fantastic food and service!! Highly recommend

I recently hosted a baby shower at Sassafras Luncheon Tea Room, and it was absolutely perfect! They provided lunch, cake, and a beautifully decorated private room for two hours. The space was stunning, the food was delicious, and the service was wonderful—so kind, attentive, and easy to work with. On top of that, everything was very reasonably priced. Truly an all-around great experience, and I highly recommend Sassafras for any special event!

100000/10 WOULD RECOMMEND! Had my baby shower here and it was so cute! The vibe was very boutique and was perfect for the occasion! The server was quick and amazing and was good with the timing on bringing things out. When I first got there, I had an episode of a low blood sugar (pregnancy issue) the server even gave cheese and crackers I believe from her own lunch to help me out. (Forever grateful for that!) the event coordinator was also great with communication.
This is the spot you definitely want to have your next event at!

Can’t say anything good about it. My husband took me there today for my Bday lunch. The table we were seated at was wobbly and so we’re the black chairs. I had the chicken salad (it was okay) a side salad (which was just greens with some dressing) and it came with a small scone. We each ordered a cup of the LS Ayres chicken velvet soup and it was just okay. We decided to have some dessert so we each ordered a petit four, which was frozen solid so we had to cut it up and let it thaw before we could eat it. With the subpar food and a waitress with zero personality we were disappointed, but to top it off as we were walking out my husband pointed out that I had sat in something black and it was on my pants. Overall, from the furniture to the food, it was a huge disappointment. There are many other tea rooms in the Indianapolis area, save yourself the disappointment and pass on this one!

The tea room was an absolute delight. We picked the Duchess Tea which came with 2 pots of tea. Note this is not 2 pots per person, this was 2 pots for our table of 4 but came with refills of the teas we chose. There were so many delicious options it was hard to choose (both caffeinated and uncaffeinated)!

Parking is a little limited available. Definitely worth the try if you’ve never had afternoon tea!

Absolutely an awesome experience!!! Took my granddaughter for PreK Graduation lunch with her Great Grandmother. We all had a blast!! 5 stars for sure!!!! The customer service was out of this world!!! Can't wait to go back!!!!

The service was great! We never ran out of delicious flavored tea during our high tea. The food and fancy desserts were delicious. We had so much fun during our Bridal Party-tea!

I’ve never eaten here but we ordered a cake from here, got the wrong cake (red velvet, was supposed to be vanilla almond) and it was very dry. Disappointing all around.

This was our first visit and our first tea party and it was perfect! We took my niece and two great nieces (ages 2 & 3) for an afernoon tea party and we could not have been any happier. The finger sandwiches were delicious and the tower of treats was even better! The staff was so nice and accommodating.

This place amazes me every time myself and group of Lovely Ladies Coffee group come here. The food is amazing. Love the decorations that gives you an elegant feeling. Service go out and above helping you to have a great experience.
