The food was legit, and the cheese pull on every item that has cheese is just amazing to watch. Our server was on point and refilled empty glasses pretty much immediately. The only drawback is the rumbling that is caused by occasional trains going by, but it's worth a visit regardless. I'll be going back for another chimichanga in the near future.
We were super excited to try El Jimador #6, as it had been hyped up on the Griffith neighborhood Facebook page. Unfortunately, it did not live up to the hype. That's not to say it was bad, because it wasn't. The meat was actually nicely cooked and the tortillas were fresh. But the sides (rice and beans), were not very good at all. The margaritas were just okay. Overall it wasn't a bad experience, it simply just didn't live up to the hype.
We went for lunch, group of 4. Food was good. Drink specials on Monday and Thursday. This day they were repairing tables right in the restaurant area! The hammering was driving us crazy! Good thing it was only for half of our meal time. We planned to stay and drink some more, but couldn't take the noise.
