Deja Brew is a delightful cafe located in Hartford City. The owner not only provides great service, but a lovely atmosphere and lively conversation.It provides a good place to study for any students needing an off campus location as well as well-priced coffee and teas. All of my friends and I enjoy going to Deja Brew. We have plenty of coffee shops closer to where we live but we always make a point to go to Deja Brew when we want local coffee. The owner is very friendly and fun to talk to. They have great coffee and great prices. They have plenty of flavors for drinks like lattes and hot teas. The food smells wonderful, the coffee selection is great, we usually get Blueberry but are looking forward to trying the lavender coffee as well. Really hard to find lavender coffee anywhere. The pumpkin spice coffee is year round, not just seasonal. The atmosphere is amazing, very pub meets coffee klatch meets dark academia. The ambiance and coffee attract people from all walks of life from blue collar workers, to academics from surrounding universities, authors, scholars, and more. One local city group meets here regularly every month for a large gathering twice monthly. The owner, Gordon, is friendly, welcoming, hospitable, amiable, and knowledgeable. Children are welcome (with adult supervision), books and sometimes puzzles and boardgames for the kids are available. They are always willing to accept donations of any children's books for patrons to read. We, (my wife and i) come here every week. Great place to chill, study, read, or chat with friends. Highly recommend to anyone local or just passing through.

I dont have pictures and its been a year or 2 since I visited. But I do have a memory and my memory of this place is warm and welcoming. I wasnt sure what to expect walking in. But it was empty with the most welcoming man (the owner) who was working alone at the time. At first we thought it might not be open yet. But it was. We had biscuits and gravy I cant remember what my firends ordered but I ordered ice coffee. I was pleased to find out the ice is made out of coffee so your coffee doesnt get watered down (highly impressed) I ruined my coffee because i put too much powered creamer in it. And he fixed my drink for free even though it was my fault. The food was great, felt like you were eating at a friends rather than a restaurant. A wholesome man. A welcoming place. Great food and great drinks. Great service. highly highly highly recommend. This place is a hidden gem for sure.

This is seriously the cutest coffee shop! The owner is the sweetest and always ensures great conversation. I highly recommend the Andes mint latte, though I've never had a coffee here that disappointed me. Definitely my new favorite place to start my day!
