We went at 4pm on a Wednesday. We had the place to ourselves. Once you receive your food, you are on your own to refill your drinks and grab to-go containers. No one came to check on us. There were items unavailable to try, but overall it was good.

What a Great BBQ Dinner.. We we're greeted with a smile and how can I help you. The portions are more than usual BBQ places give you. We ordered the 3 meats for $25.00 ×2. We added on a side of potato salad and macaroni and cheese. There are two places where you can sit and eat. If you're 21 and older, you can go to the non-smoking bar or go in the dining room. The pulled pork was very tender. The brisket was delicious and fell apart. The pulled chicken was hot and juicy. Pickles , onions, and bread come automatically with the meal.. The potato salad was made old school and was delicious. The macaroni and cheese is delicious too.. Thank You for an Awesome Dinner...Parking: Parking in the front and on the side of the restaurant.
We’ve gone twice and had such great experiences both times. Food is amazing and only one of my favorite things about the place. Music is always up my alley, drink specials also great, and the dining room is very spacious which made for an easy dining experience with a toddler. Can’t wait for the summer to spend time on the huge patio.

My husband and I both said we haven’t had bbq this good since we were in TN. What we’ve had in NWI doesn't even come close to Lucy’s!We ordered the three, half-pound meat option and selected brisket, ribs, and pulled pork. For sides we chose baked beans, slaw, and mac & cheese. We loved everything.I was stunned that the restaurant wasn’t full at 5:00 pm. It should have been because the food was fantastic. It’s off the beaten path, and those are often the best places. Even if you’re not local it’s well-worth the drive. You have to try it, especially the brisket!* My husband took the photo after we started digging in, but that platter was full!

The smell of smoked meat hits you the second you walk in and you know it's going to be good. My husband and I ordered the half-pound of three meats of our choice . We selected brisket, ribs, pulled pork. For sides we chose slaw, mac & cheese, and baked beans. We ordered enough to take home. Everything was phenomenal! My husband and I haven't had grilled smoked meat this good since we were in TN and we've tried many local places that serve this type of food. It had those bits of flavorful crispiness on the outside of the brisket that melt in your mouth. The ribs were tender and juicy and fell off the bone, and the pulled pork was also flavorful and juicy. At 5:00 pm this restaurant should have been full! Don't hesitate to try this off-the-beaten-path gem of a restaurant and bar. The food was fantastic and well worth the price. We have a new favorite place to go! Just one more thing. I appreciated that the bbq sauce was served on the side instead of on the meat. Although it was great I didn't want to hide any of the natural flavor. It was heavenly! When I decided to take the photo we had already started digging in, but that platter was heaping!
I thought they really delivered on something that is said waaaaayyyy too often. This was very similar and as good as Texas bbq. The meats were great. The sides were delicious. I haven't stopped talking about their beans in the month since I've been there. The sauces were good. I can't wait to go back

Every time I go to Lucy's I have an incredible time whenever I'm out in Lowell excellent service and even better food. Very large space that offers a variety of beverages, as well as offers family platters. If you're live in Northwest Indiana, I would definitely recommend driving out to this gem

Do some emergency repair work in area, got hungry, search for BBQ and found Lucy's. Didn't know id find the best BBQ I've had in the Midwest. Being from Texas, not being bias but we may know a thing or two about BBQ and Lucy's hit the spot. Brisket was spot on, pork was juicy and tender, the chicken was perfect, coleslaw was excellent, and the elote corn was phenomenal! When everyone and every restaurant is baking their meats Lucy's is cooking the old stick fire way. I believe the negative reviewers are at the wrong spot. Spoke with the owner. Super awesome dude. Full of fire to bring Indiana the best BBQ you guys will ever see. Keep up the hard work and I'll swing back in to grab some more!

Their BBQ sauce & almost like a honey mustard sweet sauce. Brisket, pork and beans, Fritos with brisket, cheese n Jalapeños, Mac n cheese, Chicken and then finally Jalapeño Sausage. Soooo soooo good. This 3 meat plate with 2 sides and a very large drink was $35. Husband and I shared it and brought home a large Togo box and our sides. They had a deal which you choose 3 meats for $25. I’m looking forward to going again when warm weather returns because they have a really great patio area. Summer motorcycle ride kinda day.

I love this little restaurant, great outdoor seating, inside there's ample seating. They smoke it all on site.Brisket has a beautiful peppery bark, juicy tender meat. House sausage has a nice snap, tender full of flavor. Pulled pork, also juicy and flavorful. Ribs are good, but not my thing. Don't miss the Mac and cheese or the beans. Both are excellent! We split the sampler platter and took enough home for another meal for both of us.
