I’ve been supporting Theo’s Dining Group locations for several years now and have always been pleased with the quality of food and service. On Saturday, 5/10, I made reservations for Theo’s to take my girlfriend out for dinner. We were both pleased with the quality of service and food, however, our overall experience started to decline when brought the bill… Back in November, Theo’s promoted a Gift Card special on Facebook where I would get two $25 Bonus GIFT CARDS if I purchased a $100 Gift Card. I was finishing up my holiday shopping, so I thought this was a great idea. I didn’t only see this as a great gift, but also a way to continue supporting local business. I provided the server one of our bonus GIFT CARDS as well as my credit card to cover the difference. She returned with a sad look on her face letting us know that the gift card cannot be used. I asked why and she informed me that management told her that this was not a GIFT CARD and that they would not accept this special “Discount” over Mother’s Day weekend. She showed me the back of the GIFT CARD where it stated that this could not be redeemed on Holidays. I then explained that Saturday was not a Holiday and that Mother’s Day was on Sunday. She then explained that she was only telling us what the manager told her. I then asked if I could speak with the manager and she said she would try to bring her over. The manager (Chris) arrived to our table and had an irritated look on her face from start to finish. I asked her for a better explanation as to why this could not be used and she jumped right into “THIS IS NOT A GIFT CARD AND WE WILL NOT BE PROVIDING DISCOUNTS ON A HOLIDAY” I showed her the November Facebook advertisement calling this a “Gift Card”, showed her that the card I was given in November says “Gift Card” on it , and that Saturday was not a Holiday. She continued to argue that this is not a gift card and she will not be accepting it. At this point, it wasn’t worth my time. The manager found this as a benefit to get her way and that a $25 Gift Card was not worth retaining a customer. That’s really sad, especially with how many dining options there are in NW today. And most importantly, dining options that don’t make you feel like you’ve been scammed.

Went for a dinner party. Served a limited menu. Bruschetta, salad and soup appetizers were great. My spouse ordered the chicken which was smothered in a mushroom sauce. I figured since it was a steak house I should try the steak. I was very disappointed in it. I ordered it medium well, and it was definitely well done. Although tender, I’m almost certain it was pan fried as I found it a little greasy. I guess I’m taking away 1 star because I expected a more robust steak with less grease at a steak house. My spouse really enjoyed their chicken.

On the whole it seemed the rest of the guests enjoyed their food.

Absolutely amazing experience. The food was incredible and service amazing! Kelly did a great job tending to us and making sure we had everything we needed, not to mention just genuinely connected with us. We kicked it off with the seafood tower, and switched out the oysters for extra shrimp. Got it steamed (shrimp fried) instead of chilled... OMG it was amazing! Next time we can definitely order this and maybe a side each and be full. The king crab was sooo yummy and we loved how it was already split. The shrimp was huge and especially the south African lobster taiils. So worth it! My fiance also ordered the double lobster tails as his main course, and I had the Theo's filet which was topped with more crab meat. Hands down 10/10 on all ends. Loved that we were seated in a semi private space which had only 2 booths and separated by a wall from the rest of the dining room - very private and intimate which only added to the already incredible experience.

I was extremely disappointed in the food. Nothing was seasoned. My wife's shrimp cocktail was inedible. The french onion soup had no flavor, the onions were still raw, the broth tasted like dirty water, there was very little in the way of a crouton and the cheese was just blobbed on, it was just aweful. Our steaks were of a good cut and cooked to order, but were completely unseasoned and extremely bland, even the onions and mushrooms we ordered just lacked any seasoning. I really felt I could have gotten a better meal at chain steakhouse. Just was a disappointing experience.

I usually order the lemon rice soup. It's pretty good but why is it that this so called high end restaurant does not provide spoons or any disposable utensils for carry out??? How is someone supposed to eat it? They don't provide napkins. They also would provide a decent size bread but today they gave a small little piece of break for a quarter size soup. For what they charge they should still provide the large size bread as it allows to be shared. Smh Time to find another restaurant.

My son in law got food poisoning from his meal. I called the following day and spoke to the manager. He thanked me for letting him know…end of story. We spent more than $800 celebrating my dad’s 90th birthday. They didn’t even try to make a bad situation better by offering a gift certificate, free meal, anything. We won’t patronize them again.

Kinda pricey. Could upgrade the iceburg lettuce to a better lettuce. Veggie soup was greasy. Baked potato was hard. Calamari was good. Filet was good. Attentive wait staff. Over $300 for 3 people. No drinks.

My sister and I had a surprise 90th birthday luncheon for our Dad on 8/31/24 at Theo's in Highland, IN. The experience was great! Jack (Theo's Event Host) was exceptional. He had every answer to every question from beginning to end and had the room set up beautifully. He was very accommodating even when we were expecting more people than originally planned. He was also very encouraging. Jack and Chris helped to create a story as my Dad entered into the restaurant not knowing that he was about to be surprised. You would have thought they had a script. It sounded so good! The two servers that were assigned to us (David and Luke) were very patient, professional, courteous and accommodating. When it came to a glass of wine, I described to Melissa what I didn't like, and she surprised me with a wine that had a beautiful aroma, and the taste was perfect. Billy with all patience (I couldn't remember the name of the wine), followed up on a 2nd glass for me. Thank you all for your support in making this a wonderful and memorable event for me and my family. By the way, the food was excellent too! We had lemon rice soup, Tri Tip Beef with Bordelaise and Chicken Picatta, mashed potatoes, and the Pasta with Marinara (so, so good!).

If you haven't been to Theo's, VISIT. They are excellent and the Juggernaut River Pinot Noir was very good!
