I'm a local, I grew up around Hobart, I would consider myself a region rat. My friends in high school worked at this place so this place is very nostalgic to me. This was back in 2014 and 2016, currently it's 2025 and I still get the same high quality food, & friendly customer service as I did back in the day. I just took my son here a few days ago for a quick night snack , the only issue they have is the drive-thru. It can go out to the street where you can block traffic & other drivers that aren't getting Dairy Queen can become impatient. All in all 10/10. It's right near Lake George. You can go to the park and walk around. Maybe go fishing. Whatever floats your boat. This place is great.

This Dairy Queen is usually friendly and the service is fast. I order online quite often and the order is usually spot on. I take my puppy with me to get pup cups, which she enjoys. I do wish that they had pup cups with the choice of whipped cream. The picture I added is my puppy getting excited when we get to the Drive-thru.
The drive through line always blocks the road. The road is a state highway!

Their blizzards are basically soft serve ice cream now. I could drink it with a straw after the 5 minute drive home. You'd need to put it in the freezer for several hours if you want that old blizzard consistency.

I paid for a cup so I can fill it with water, then once I filled it up, they kicked me out because they said I did not pay for it, and it was the same worker that gave me the cup.

They have extremely rude service. Majority of the workers are high school students with no manners. Horrible management. Even if the food was good here, I wouldn't dine at this dairy queen because I dont think the teens should be paid for the service they give.
Listen I don’t do these reviews but after 4 times of this I truly want to. It poorly ran because management. It’s adults that are few and ownership is questionable. Dependent on new workers (hs kids) which I love but no guidance cause it’s a popular spot. No fault to workers it falls on management but no adult in sight.
