This restaurant is absolutely fantastic. I cannot believe it's just right in the middle of downtown Hobart. Every dish we ordered was superb, and our server was incredibly careful about my food allergies. I highly recommend the ceviche verde and the filete la marinera. My spouse had the paella and loved it, as well. This is up there with the best restaurants I've ever been to across the entire country, and I do not feel like I'm exaggerating to say it. I only wish we lived closer!

Worst experience ever, the waitress was very rude.
I invited my sister here for her 60th birthday. A few other people we knew decided to meet us there because it was karaoke night. It was a total of 6 different sets of us. At the end of the night they gave us one check and refused to separate our orders. We were never told that they do not separate orders and we were not one party. We did not all arrive at the same time, and yet they refused. I also ask them to sing happy birthday and it never happened. I watched them sing to 3 other Mexican tables and they never acknowledged our request. I have never like pulling the black card but We were the only blacks there and I have never personally felt so discriminated against. I only recommend you go if you're not black. I do need to shout out one of the servers Vanessa, after speaking with her and sharing my concerns she was the ONLY one that apologized. To some this review may sound patty or over reactive but if you know you know.
The food was great and there was a lot to choose from. Which means that I will come back and try out a lot in the many visits I will be going.

Great food. I just don't like Spanish language music nor any music played that loud. But if you like mariachi music and good food this is the place.

Everything was so fire our waiter made some small talk and said a few jokes and the food was just pure amazingness nothing was wasnt too bad but the octopus was a bit spicy but other than that my wings were amazing and also the drinks the horchata were delicous and the wings were good but i got full quickly and the atmosphere was incredibley intresting it was vibrant, colorful, and fancy all at the same time and our table was spacious and long.
Parking: You can park close to the restraunt and probably just cross a street to get to the restraunt.

I come here specifically for the shrimp ceviche and the freshly made tortilla chips & reg/chile verde salsas. The flavors are always on point and I love the large portion on the ceviche. This time was a disappointment for me…
*I didn’t realize they charge $2.99 per basket of chips and salsa until I got my bill. I have never noticed charges for this before. Both baskets of chips I purchased weren’t full for being charged $2.99 each. Normally they are full and I don’t mind paying if it’s a full portion.
* Also, the salsa is normally inside mini crafts that prob hold 6-8 oz , but this time I was served a smaller bowl that held an approx. 4 ounces. Again. Consistency of portions and price should be known to the customer.
* I ordered a side of hot habenero sauce and was given 2 tablespoons worth and charged $2.99 without any warning. Again, I don’t mind paying for a good amount of hot sauce, but for 2.99 (most likely sourced from dried habenero chiles) I’d hope I can get at least a 4 oz portion.
* guac was $8.99 for about 6 oz
*Lastly , my total bill was about 68 dollars for one person. 18 percent gratuity was automatically added and had I not read the fine print, would not have known. I don’t agree with automatically adding gratuity because I believe the customer should have their choice for what their server or bartender gets back as an additional tip..
Just wanted to offer some c customer feedback to help everyone’s dining experience better in the future. I’ve been in the food industry as a cook and in customer Service for over 10 years. Communicating prices, and how much for each portion tells the customer the value of their food and avoids surprises when they get their bill.
I’d like to return again , but with the correct portions of food and being told what I’m charged for them. The cold beer was Excellent. I also would like to see the wait staff educated on how cash gratuity versus credit gratuity works for their benefit. Obviously, the bartender in theory should be able to keep their cash tips untaxed, In my opinion, rather than it be added onto customer bill.

My husband and I stopped in this afternoon for a late lunch. Omg, what a mistake! The place looks great inside, however, it was sooooo loud you could hardly think! The waitress had to repeat herself because we couldn't hear each other. The prices were ridiculous and the food was simply awful, except the chips. They were exceptional. We ordered an app of guacamole that amounted to about a half a cup for $8. A large horchata was $8. A small bottle of Coke was $4. Our beans and rice weren't even lukewarm - the shredded cheese on top of the beans didn't melt even when mixed in. The chimichanga asada looked enormous but after cutting into it, it was half filled with soggy tortilla. It tasted of old grease and not much else. Our bill with 2 Cokes, 1 horchata, 1 guacamole, 1 bacon wrapped chili app and 2 entrees came to $65. The prices on way out of line for what this restaurant is serving. On the upside, our server was wonderful. We will never be back.

Worst Mexican Restaurant ever! Prices were outrageous....
$8.00 for a Horchatta , I don't spend that on a alcohol drink.
$4.00 for a bottle of Coke
$8.00 for a small and I mean small guacamole.... Looked like 4 table spoons of guacamole.
The food was horrible it wasn't that warm and it tasted pretty 2nd rate.... On a scale of 1-10, I give it a 2
Will never go there again

Service is excellent. The chicken enchiladas w/green sauce is where it’s at. Will definitely be returning.
