Me and hubby come here every Sunday morning for soup. He gets pozole and I get chicken noodles the soups are amazing. We also buy their fresh bread and donuts. We drive from Merrillville which is not that far but their soups are worth it. Also, their service is amazing. Paula is a great waitress and so friendly and nice. We love seeing her every Sunday. It does get packed but it's worth the wait which is never that long either.

El Ranchero is still amazing with their food and service. My daddy would treat me to this years ago and I recently visited this place and it just brought back so many good memories. I'm grateful this place is still kicking it ?

Immature waitresses make fun and mock customers behind their backs. Show up late whenever you order take out. They say 15 mins for pick up means 30mins

The food here is terrible I got the steak tacos and they were bland and a friend of mine ordered the pork burrito it didn't have any flavor it was like mush I wouldn't recommend this place at all it's terrible go elsewhere to fajita grill or el jimador those 2 places are good I will never return here

My family has eaten from here for years, I usually very much enjoy it.
Unfortunately this time around it was so bad that I almost threw up.
The entire meal tasted like it had been pre-frozen the night before and then reheated for 30 seconds in the microwave. Including the taco which are most of the time fresh and hot.
Definitely eat here, but be wary there are days when the ball is dropped.

The BEST Mexican restaurant around, hands down!! Good prices, generous portions and the food is delicious. Some favorites are the chilaquiles, pork meat, fideo and anything from the bakery.

I like the place, the people are very friendly and especially the Chava with the parted beard, hey, she is very nice, greetings
The huevos Ranchero's was very good as well as the breakfast steak. Some of the tortillas were heated to much and were crumbling, they gave 10 torts for to people, and most were soft. Good coffee also. Waitress was very attentive.
