Food was not fresh my mofongo was very dry some of the platanos were burned 😳 my white rice no salt beans no flavor no salt the salad was small over priced. Appetizer was OK had flavor bacalaito. I will never return.Not a boricua place to eat real PR food. Need a real 👩‍🍳. Chef. Food was way over priced!!!! I never spent that much in Chicago rican restaurant. 2 people $88 bucks!! Wow!!! Never again.

Over priced.puerto rican food in chicago is better cooked & cheaper prices.the drive is well worth it only 45 minutes away.served me burnt pork chops.

This place is amazing. The calm atmosphere, friendly staff and great tasting food. I happened to see a TikTok with this location In Hobert and I had to come try it. It’s definitely 10x better than the East Chicago location. 💯% better. You want good Puerto Rican Food Tania’s in Hobert is a must try!!

I seriously could not recommend Tania’s in Hobart more. The food is always great but THE SERVICE is everything!! Last Friday, my husband and I took our toddler for dinner there. Our baby was having a rough time and we decided to just order to go. When the manager heard this, he came over and said no no, don’t leave and sat us in the closed off area so that we could eat and our son could walk around. Not only was this over the top accommodating but then our server went brought coloring pages and even brought her own squishmallow to keep him company. When we thanked them, she said we all just have to help each other out! All this to say, we are truly touched by the kindness we were shown and we had a great meal (as always)!

Could not believe the prices for the size of the items delivered. $4.17 for an alcapuria smaller than a hot dog. Look at their prices.

We ordered the Jibarito and Tania’s sandwich dinner— hot tip- add the garlic sauce to either of the sandwiches, so gooood. It was a very delicious meal.

The staff was very welcoming and was quick with our food. We will definitely bring friends here to try and enjoy together again!

Tania's was a pleasant surprise. Off the main street in downtown Hobart sits a oasis of deliciousness. The puerto rican rice was fantastic as were the beans. I got the pork Jibarito which was huge and very tasty. The day I was there they had fresh watermelon juice that was so refreshing. Can't wait to go back to try the rest of the menu. This is a destination spot in northwest Indiana. Seek it out.
