Today was the first time my wife and I tried Parlor in Springfield, MO. We called ahead to make sure they had vegan donuts in stock, showed up 30 minutes later and ordered a dozen vegan donuts. Specifically asked if they were vegan. She says yes. Went back to our Airbnb and ate some. Realized she gave us a dozen NON VEGAN donuts. We were the only customers there! HOW does that happen??? Her name was Aszriana. We also got a cream soda that had no carbonation at all. We were treated like she didn't even want us there. We ended up spending 35 bucks on donuts that made us sick and went in the trash. Never go here! This was the day before my Dad's funeral as well to make it even worse! We never treat ourselves like this and even went way out of our way to come to Springfield JUST to get some donuts that we can actually eat.

Ordered gluten free donuts on the app , payed, drove about 25 miles to pick up the order only to be told they have NOTHING that we ordered ….. that she tried to call but their phone wasn’t wasn’t working
(Then you didn’t try to call 🤨) and of course you can’t get a refund there because it has to go through the app ….. typically they just get the flavors wrong and we overlook it because at least there is gluten free options but this is a whole new level of not giving a f***…. Never again

I came to this establishment with high expectations and was highly disappointed! I ordered a caramel macchiato. When I received my drink it tastes like it contained pure milk and coffee, there was no caramel. I took my drink back to the front counter and expressed my dissatisfaction with the iced coffee. Ashanti told me that there was a corporate way of making the iced coffee and it could not be remade so I then asked for a refund. She told me she could not refund me just because I did not like the drink. I am 6 months pregnant and became flustered as the drink did not meet my expectations and she was refusing to satisfy me as a paying customer. She laughed in my face and mocked me as I continued to express my dissatisfaction with the drink and customer service. As I began speaking with the manager Elliot, Ashanti continued to mock and provoke me and began to go back and forth with me in a heated argument. I began to question the managers authority over her employee behavior and professionalism. I was then asked to leave or the police would be called all because I didn’t like my drink and wanted it either remade or refunded. I can only come to the conclusion that was racial profiling, lack of professionalism and integrity. I am highly disgusted in the customer service I received. And I have plans of reaching out to the better business bureau’s, corporate, and osha. Burt however was understanding and was more than willing to accommodate my needs but his manager was unwilling.

First time trying Parlor doughnuts. I bought a dozen and my first one was mallo cup. A very good doughnut and I'm excited to try the rest of the flavors as soon as I can find room to eat another one.

Make sure to call and confirm that they have vegan doughnuts made, best if its the day prior. They may not have any for just walk up.
The doughnuts themselves are decent, if nothing special. The best selling point is that there are several different flavor toppings, even though they only have vanilla vegan doughnuts.

I stopped in today to try one. was not happy with customer service i wasnt even asked do you have any questions since i just told her this was my first time there.
once i picked one out to try it was placed in a paperbag. no big deal till i got home 15 mins tops on the drive and opened the bag and a lot of the topping was in the bag because it wasnt wrapped in anything just put in the bag. it was a mess. it was the turtle cheesecake one. I had to cut the bag open to save the topping that weren't all over the inside of the bag. 3.69 for one donut is high but I was encouraged to try one, but I won't be back.
I also paid with cash, and since she charged me tax I had to tell her no tax on take out. she had to get a manager to tell her the change amount, even though I told her what it was

Parlor has become my local favorite. Yes, their donuts are delicious and unique, their coffee is fantastic, and breakfast sandwiches, avocado toast, and açaí bowl are amazing. But the atmosphere makes such a difference- the staff is friendly, with a bright space and a variety of seating. Try the bacon egg cheese on the unglazed donut plus a lavender iced latte, and stay for a while.
