Out of towers stopped by while looking for a pool hall. Stepped in but didn't order or got anything. Ended up leaving but the three of us where immediately acknowledged by the barkeep. Which is unusual at bars I have been to. It felt like a nice place. Maybe an older crowd. I would have stayed if I was alone and wanted a pint.
it's pretty much the best community driven thing since ever. the super dope friendly regulars come, well, regularly, and the trolls who try to ruin it for everyone realize no one wants them here so they don't come back. it's this vicious cycle of good vibes feeding into themselves that has created this incredible community. the alcovians are we like to call ourselves.
if you're like me and not usually social, check out the karaoke bar next door first and loosen up there and then migrate on over to alcove when you feel more comfortable!
don't even get me started on the food. papu chos is THE BEST food I've had in my life.

We popped into this bar as part of our 25th high school reunion celebrations, and it was a great choice! The ambiance is really good, the music set a fun mood, and everyone enjoyed the food and drinks. The highlight for many of us was the awesome taco truck! A perfect place to hang out for a bit during a group trip.
