Great food!! A must is the duck fried potatos and the fried chicken. We will be going back soon. Great service.
The Red Yeti is one of our favorite restaurants, and tonight was terrific, as usual. Our server, Natalie did a wonderful job, with prompt, friendly care that was timed just right without being bothersome. Larry's brisket and side salad were delicious and filling. My hot brown was yummy, with ample fresh-tasting turkey and a wonderful sauce that pulled the other ingredients together. Of course, I took half of it home. Even so, Natalie brought us the special dessert, persimmon ice cream, with two spoons. Another great experience@ Thanks, Red Yeti@
I’m writing this review after attempting to contact management and the owner over 30 days ago without any response. While I wish I didn’t have to leave a review like this, our most recent visit was so disappointing that I feel it’s important to share.
My husband and I would visit The Red Yeti 3–4 times per week and have always spoken very highly of this restaurant. Because of that, we were excited to bring our 5-year-old son and two close friends for dinner. Unfortunately, this experience was far below what we’ve come to expect.
Upon arrival, I spoke with the host about seating. He was not particularly professional, and we were not given any estimated wait time — just told to wait outside. While I understand not being able to provide an exact time, it would have been helpful to know if we were waiting 20 minutes or over an hour, especially with a hungry child. After about 30 minutes, we were seated, and about 10 minutes later, our server arrived.
Right away, we were shocked to see that our server was wearing extremely short pajama-style shorts — inappropriate for a restaurant setting. My 5-year-old even commented that he could see her behind. It was unprofessional and set a negative tone for the evening.
We placed our drink and food orders immediately. However, the service was extremely slow and inattentive. Two beers took 15–20 minutes to arrive, and when my husband and our friend ordered two more, they never came. We continued waiting for our food, but our server was nowhere to be found. By the time our meals finally arrived, it had been 1 hour and 25 minutes since we placed the order.
Unfortunately, the food was just as disappointing as the service. The fried chicken had no breading on the bottom, the fries were cold, and the $28 chicken entrée consisted of three small, dry, inedible pieces. After one bite, we decided we were done and simply wanted to pay for our drinks and leave.
I had to track down our server — who was chatting at the bar instead of checking on tables — just to get the check, which took another 10–15 minutes. As we were leaving, she ran after us with a beer that had been ordered nearly 30 minutes earlier. We refused to pay for that beer but did pay for the drinks we had. The server was rude, unprofessional, and did not even offer to bring our change.
This was not just an off night — it was easily the worst dining experience we’ve had here. It was embarrassing after recommending this restaurant to friends, and it left us questioning whether we’ll return at all.
We have spent thousands of dollars supporting this business over the years, but this level of service and food quality is unacceptable. If this were my restaurant, the server’s conduct alone would be grounds for termination. When a place isn’t busy and the kitchen is backed up, guests should be informed or turned away — not left waiting nearly 90 minutes for subpar food and inattentive service.
It’s unfortunate to write such a review, but after multiple attempts to reach management with no response, I feel that future customers should be aware of what they may encounter.

I always have a good experience when coming here. Service is great, indoor & outdoor. The food is so good, my favorite is the kale!! It’s always so yummy. Also the chicken, oh man, it’s delicious. I always substitute grits for French fries, love their fries. There’s also a cool hippy type bartender who’s always really nice & the fact they have military discount makes them even better. My favorite time of year is during thanksgiving when they have the cornbread pudding. Worth every penny! & good beer too.

This is hands down the best restaurant in the Kentuckiana area. The food and customer service are unmatched—truly the best I’ve experienced anywhere around here. A little tip: if you’re ever in town, you have to come for the Sunday brunch. It’s buffet style with some of the most delicious food I’ve ever tasted. Dingo is also incredible—he’s the kind of person who makes you feel right at home the moment you walk in. My wife and I look forward to coming back every Sunday when we can, and we can’t wait to bring our kids and future family here as well.

Very good food and service. Truffle fries appetizer, lots of fries, very good. Ordered shrimp and grits, very good. Also ordered buttermilk fried chicken, very good and a lot of food as it comes with 2 pieces of chicken. Last order was the Coulotte steak, good flavor but edges of the steak were grisly. Overall though everything was very good.

Stopped in and tried this gem the other day and I must say it is a must try place. I asked the bartender, who was a very friendly local what to get. She said the buttermilk fried chicken was her favorite. So I tried it and ollh my God probably the best chicken I've ever had. It went perfect on top of a bed of cheesy grits and paired with their version of greens. I will definitely be going back again in the near future.

Good food. Good service. Good atmosphere. The craft brews were very good. It's pub food, but good quality
It's a reaturant.
Had a delicious dinner at the Red Yeti tonight. We had experienced Chef Michael Bowe at Cooking at the Cottage previously and wanted to see his restaurant. His team is fantastic, the atmosphere is chic and his food is spectacular. I'd happily recommend to both friends and family.
