Don Chico's Mexican Grill

Our meal started with complimentary chips and the most delicious salsa (a little spicy)! Large portion meals that took us back to our favourite Mexican vacation spot. And a delicious margarita to make it all even better! We were visiting the area but will definitely come back when we are nearby again🇲🇽😋

Very nice Mexican restaurant for being in a small Indiana town. I'm a little biased as my home area is blessed with lots of Hispanic heritage and some very good Mexican restaurants. However our daughter who moved here recommended this spot and said she liked it best of all Mexican food places in the vicinity. All of us were happy with the food, and the portions were plentiful. My fajitas stood up to what I'm used to getting back home and our friends nachos over flowed the plate, being more than enough for two people. Our server was slow and missed some of our instructions as well as not paying a lot of attention to us once the food was delivered, and although it was clean and orderly, the decor was pretty ho-hum. That's not a good reason to ignore this place, and perhaps our server was having an off night. I'd definitely recommend going here if you're looking for a delicious Mexican meal!

Great food and amazingly fast service. They give you large servings and have delicious queso with the perfect hint of heat. Our most recent visit was after the Apple Festival closed and we were amazed by how well they were staffed, how fast the food came, and how many customers they served in a short amount of time. They were prepared for the large rush of people and still provided friendly service without making customers feel rushed.

I was pleasantly surprised. One of the nurses recommended I go while in town. The salsa, fresh. The guac, fresh. Everything was fresh and tasted good. Waitress was nice, prompt, and attentive

Best salsa I’ve ever had in my life. Every time I come here the salsa is a little different than the times before. That’s because it’s homemade by a wonderful chef. The chorizo caso is the best too. The Rosa margarita is the best too. The shrimp or steak with caso and rice is the best too and enough for several people so a great price just ask for extra tortillas because you’re going to need them.

We stopped by at 8:50 p.m. to order chips and salsa to go, but we were rudely informed that the restaurant was closed before we could even enter. The hours on the sign clearly state that they are open until 9:30 p.m. This was a very disappointing experience.
