Up until last night this place was a hidden gem. Now I plan on returning whenever possible on our way to or from a Purdue game. The atmosphere is beautiful, the Italian food is superb, and our waitress was efficient and very personable. Looking forward to our next meal here!

The atmosphere and service are both good. We went during a pretty dead time, so we didn't have any issues with getting our food quickly. The food, however, was the only downfall of this charming establishment. I ordered the pub burger (I know, boring), and my wife ordered chicken alfredo (another boring dish). We got our food, and I noticed a couple of things right off the bat about my meal: 1.) The French fries were just regular frozen crinkle fries. Not a big deal, didn't expect anything elegant. 2.) The burger was TINY. Absolutely no possible way this burger was a 1/2 pound. 3.) The onion that was on the burger was basically a whole slice out of the middle of and onion, almost as much onion as there was burger. Once I started eating, I noticed the burger was very burnt. I like a charred burger, but this was beyond that. My wife's chicken was the same way, which made the whole dish taste burnt. The soup bar was less than desirable. Bread service was mediocre.I don't want to give 1 star because I know this doesn't happen to everyone. I'm sure there's not many Italian options in Kentland. It's probably a better restaurant to take your kids than a date night spot.

Visited this place since its new owners .... the menu was great lots of Italian dishes as well as burgers and steaks i had the ribeye and the appetizer empanadas and they were phenomenal been a long time.since ive had those this small town eatry was very good the staff was friendly and owners introduced themselves . Definatly will be back Update was there again for their wing night on Thursday night and the wings were delicious i had 2 flavors buffalo which was their own sauce ? and parmesan garlic ? get there on Thursdays for some

Very delicious sauces! Our whole party rated the items better than Olive Garden. Hands down the best Alfredo sauce I’ve ever had. Food came out in a decent amount of time and super hot! Peaceful atmosphere for family or a date night.

Chicken breast with fresh vegetables, and mini potatoes. Everything was delicious, and great service. The owner made his rounds to make sure everything was enjoyable, which it was. Friendly and knowledgeable server Caitline was quick and attentive. Thank you Caitline, and thank you Downtown Lounge and Trattoria ?.

Reviewing as a former employee! If you are in need of a job, this is an excellent place to work. I was a waiter here in 2021 and can safely say my experience working with Scott and Adrian was wonderful! They’re both always ready to lend a hand if you need, and both of them are excellent to be around. This is by far one of the best places I have been employed at. However, I personally would not suggest this job as a starting wait staff job, as it does get busy at times.
