To be honest, this review may be biased... I was born in Michigan City in 1959 and grew up eating Albano's Pizza as a treat, and a treat it still is! I have lived in Florida for 41 years now, and still go to Albano's EVERY time I visit the area! So please, pay no attention to this review! It is completely one sided... God Bless the Albano's Pizza Family!
The Albano's pizza on Johnson has never been as good as downtown. This last visit will be my last time. The crust was dry with no flavor. We actually threw some of the pizza out it was so bad. When I pay $25 for a large pizza I expect quality. Little Caesars 3 meat pizza for $8.99 puts Albano's to shame. I'm sorry to see this happen.
Great employer, go-to place for fresh, handcrafted pizza and great sandwiches. Not the busiest joint, not the fastest, but they make up for it with a commitment to service and a high degree of customization.
