I have been to this restaurant several times and have had great experiences each and every time. The owner, John, is welcoming. He greets me and my party every time. Very hospitable! The atmosphere is lovely.
My most recent visit was with some ladies…we celebrated a retirement. I called the day before and the table was all set up for us which was a party of 11. We had a server named Kayla, who was friendly and attentive to each of our needs. Surprisingly, Kayla advised that John had something special for us. She then brought out complimentary brownie bits which was the perfect finish to a delicious meal.

Food was delicious and service was great! We tried the gumbo soup, flatbread, and crawfish etoufee. You can tone down the spices if that's not for you.

Found this little gem in the middle of nowhere and now it’s on my lists of restaurants to visit for a relaxing evening, great ambiance and excellent food. We are from Chicago. We were happy to find Bistro on the Green. The fried green tomatoes were delicious. The mashed sweet potatoes, greens, & parmesan chicken, blackened, pork chops and chicken alfredo were superb. The service, ambiance, and location were great as well.
I would give this hidden gem in LaPorte 10 stars if I could! Our server Katie was awesome. We were surprised to see one of our favorite mixologists, Sanchez from the Blue Chip working his magic behind the bar. The food is delicious and the atmosphere Incredible!

Might I add the drinks were amazing as well. The bartender- Danny soulful mixes were a great addition to the ambiance!
