Staff is always pleasant. They seem to always be smiling and always happy to serve. This Dairy Queen seems to have a steady, but light stream of traffic every time I’ve visited, which to me is a good sign. Occasionally the dining area and bathrooms could use a bit more cleaning but it’s never in a state of neglect. They seem to always be working hard, and I would say this location must be well managed. You don’t get this level of service on a shoestring staff if the management wasn’t treating them well.

This is the cleanest, most well organized, and well managed Dairy Queen location I have ever been to. The food is always hot, fresh, well put together, and service is 100% perfection!! Love me some DQ and I will only go to this one!

I hadn't been going for awhile due to cold food.. I decided to stop in a few times this summer.. The young kiddo with the glasses at the window is always nice and polite..But..My first few times the food was hot and fresh and I was really happy. I went a few days ago and we got a couple chicken strip baskets and a few drinks. It wasn't busy..at all.. The fries were pathetic and mostly mushy and definitely not a "regular" serving. The chicken strips were barely warm and old tasting.. It really makes us want to drive to Michigan City to Frosty Boy where they fry things to order. Where they actually say "fries and chicken strips down" and they are hot when you get them! I don't know if I'll be back any time soon after a few visits like this.... ?‍♀️

I've only used the drive thru here. I don't really need lots of ice cream but anything pumpkin gets my attention. The Pumpkin Pie Blizzard was amazing. I've noticed they have some other interesting choices. Go try it.

I swear the Dairy Queen in Laporte is probably one of the best I've been to. The people there are always super friendly and super accommodating. The food is always presented fast and accurately. I recommend!

I’ve been to this Dairy Queen numerous times and have had no issues. Tonight I went through the drive thru and ordered a cookie dough blizzard. I was given some sort of blizzard with peanuts in it, thankfully I noticed before taking a bite because I’m allergic. I called the store to let them know, and I could hear them laughing about it. I wasn’t worried about getting a refund or free food.

It's your typical dairy queen. service is okay. The food is okay, and the prices are insane. don't order the banana split! call for $6.25, you get vanilla ice cream, some chocolate sauce with cream, and eighth of a banana

They are the only DQ that will make you a blizzard cake outside the normal flavors! Very accommodating and polite staff!

Update 2: ugly sprang with a $120 Bill, also got owners name which is Jay and left a voicemail. I’ve been in contact with cooperate over both previous visits. Update: given the nature of Arizonas spranged ankle, we brought her here to urgent care and had to have an X-ray done. We’re waiting on the X-rays now. I usually don’t put people on blast, but the Dairy Queen here on PineLake in Laporte deserves to be famous. This makes two times in one week we’ve had problems. The first time was, we ended up waiting fifty minutes which was an extra 30 from when the order was to be picked up, the manager was rude and there was a smart mouth teen who literally wasn’t doing anything and when asked to, had the worse attitude. Today placed the order 40 minutes early thinking to give a benefit of a doubt and the girls had to wait an extra 10 minutes, yet again the manager made excuses and never apologized nor tried to offer a solution. Arizona while getting out of the van stepped in a hole of sorts by our parking spot and asked for a bag of ice which they declined. I gave her ibuprofen and afterwords she’ll come home and prop her foot up with ice. It’s sad when managers have such hardened hearts, a simple “I’m sorry, it’ll be a few more minutes” would have sufficed and something as simple as a bag of ice for her spranged ankle should’ve been provided! After hearing the way they talked to her for asking to provide a bag of ice, I called and left a voicemail to let them know that what they’re doing is wrong, and that they need to soften their hearts to the customers. Dan went in there to find out the owners name and the manager while laughing tells him Bobby, but refused to give a last name or phone number.
