Decent little spot for drinks and snacks and a lot of space and tables to play the provided games or bring in your own.

Art classes take place here and they also sell the art from said classes.

Close to other items of interest in Laporte .

Public unisex bathroom for paying customers.

Very sad to hear this business will be introducing resin (a toxin) to their building, which they serve food in. Resin is supposed to be handled with FULL PPE (personal protective equipment) as resin releases fumes and toxins that can linger in your body and environment FOR YEARS. I used to bring my daughter here for bubble tea but we will have to find somewhere else. Sad because it's a cute building, but the staff isn't so friendly much of the time anyways. Not a total loss. Please research chemicals (epoxy etc) you plan to introduce into a food environment before you just accept random people creating events at your location.

Such a cute cafe with small town vibes. I got a toasted marshmallow cappuccino and it was great. Although I took my beverage to go, there was quite a bit of space there to sit and chat, work on your laptop, and even shop.

I literally travel 23 minutes from my house just to go and get this bubble tea, for the last three years the watermelon bubble tea with the vanilla Boba has been a FAVORITE!

My fiancé and I stopped in to get some Hot chocolate this afternoon and it was the best! Our first time coming in but we’ll definitely be coming back!(: Truly a hidden gem in LP!

Hotspot café is a wonderful 'spot' in the city of Laporte. The atmosphere is always welcoming, and the staff, specifically Haley, keeps me coming back (on the week-ends for sure). The owner is also very respectful and about her business !!! Service is usually pretty good, especially the Frappés made by Haley (she always makes it just right). The food itself is alright. I mean, it's a café, you come here for the coffee and bubble tea. Food pairs nicely with the drinks, though. Food can be a little pricey, so it's definitely a place to treat yourself. The sweets are quite delectable, I highly recommend them. Hotspot Café also hosts events which are great for kids. Overall, I really do think this place is worth checking out, especially for the atmosphere and staff.

My daughter and I came in today for the first time. We really enjoyed our lattes and the blueberry with cream cheese in center was just absolutely amazing. Before we left we wanted to try a different flavor. My daughter was even more excited that they do door dash...she was thinking of what other flavors she wanted to try. It was home away from home feeling. Seeing all the other items they were selling. Definitely the best welcome feeling ever! A must go if you haven't done so.

The first thing once you go in is you can tell straight away this is not a chain.

It's a more personal able experience with homey vibes. We definitely enjoyed their service.

We ordered a toasted marshmallow latte and a mocha latte. They were both at perfect drinking temp, not scalding hot but just hot enough to enjoy on our drive back home.

Would recommend to a friend.
Actual rating would be 4.5 stars so I rounded up. I don't normally write reviews for places so I apologize if the formatting is weird or the wording is strange/repetitive.

First of all, the boba tea was really great. I got Chai Tea with Strawberry Popping boba and both the boba and tea tasted amazing. Atmosphere was a bit off-putting at first but it's nice vibes overall. The paintings on the left wall add to the vibe as well. I'm not sure about the other food items, but they definitely looked appetizing!

There only appeared to be one person working the shop at the desk, but it was also about 1 hour-ish/30 min before it closed so I'm unsure if that's typical or not. Service didn't take a long time.

They don't serve typical bubble tea for sure. As other reviews mention, they do some sort of blending thing for the tea, probably with ice. I also noticed it sort of seemed to separate if I let it sit...? It tasted fine even with the odd look, though. They also don't seem have regular tapioca pearls from what I could gather from the website and in-cafe list.

Speaking of the website, it's either out of date or poorly formatted for mobile. I couldn't find a menu aside from pictures on the "Menu" tab, which kind of led to me standing there in the Cafe, awkwardly looking at the screen and menu on the wall before the woman at the desk noted that they had the boba flavors at the desk. Furthermore, I couldn't find much about the boba on the website, but it was clear they had it based on pictures and other Google reviews. These two reason are why if Google let me, I would have rated it 4.5 stars.

This isn't meant to be a negative review, though. I would absolutely stop by again! :]
