This place is just great all around.Best BLT I ever had in my life. Can't wait to go back.Everyone sure check this place out.You will not be let down.
I don't know why we waited so long to try this place out. They have really great burgers and Reubens at least that's what we got. The Reuben was on special so you got free fries or tots with it. I made mine Drunken with bacon, cheese, ranch, jalapenos. The atmosphere is modern, but still has that little business feel. The co-owner (wife) was super friendly and had amazing customer service skills. Loved that. Just recently they extended their hours to six so that made it easier for us as normally it is morning and early afternoon. Definitely stop and support local for a bite to eat and there are vegan choices as well. Oh and don't hesitate to get the Mac and cheese bites too. You're welcome. ?
The service was extremely slow. It was lunch hour. I originally wanted to dine in, then has to request to go. 30 minute wait order was ready, and they had no to go utensils. That is a first and last time for me
First time eating here and it was AMAZING! I highly recommend this place! Today’s special was cheeseburger and fries for $5. The burger was great, fries were delicious and all very filling.Neat little thing about this place is the bathrooms… you can write on the black walls with the markers in there. Pretty cool. I did some writing myself!Thumbs up for Maple & Rye! Check it out!
Good food and staff was super nice. We visited for the first time for brunch with the kiddos. Only one issue for me is coming here with kids. We only found 1 highchair and no changing table in the bathrooms. I know businesses don't usually prioritize these things and that's fine (i.e. 5 stars still). I would still return myself, just probably not with little ones.
Both my boyfriend and I agreed that it was the best turkey sandwich either of us have ever had— definitely will be going back for lunch.
If I could give this negative stars I would. Today I had the worst experience I have ever had in a restaurant. I know as soon as I walked into this place it was the biggest mistake. As soon as I walked up the register I was greeted by a swarm.. and I mean swarm of flies. Right around the lights above the cash register. Multiple little swarms of flies. It was purely disgusting. We had to wait for our food and while I was sitting at the tables the flies kept flying by us! Could you imagine if we were sitting there trying to eat? Eat while flies fly around us and land on us? The table? The food. It was purely disgusting. I had multiple flies bite me while I was waiting for my food. We waited an half hour for our food to be thrown away as soon as we got home. If you have over 30 flies flying around the lobby. Could you imagine the kitchen. No way I could eat that food. The door wasn’t open or anything because of the nice weather. So where are they coming from? I went to use the bathroom and couldn’t even use the bathroom without flies being in there with me. I can’t even imagine this happening I’ve never seen anything like it before in my life. This place should be closed down. I also too took many photos and videos
Great food. Kind staff. We got the happy hour burgers with fries and it was very good. My husband said it was the best burger he’s had from a restaurant in a long time. We will definitely be back to try some other options in the future!
Stopped in today for a takeout order. Wanted to share my amazing experience. The gentleman who took my order was so kind. I’m vegan he even confirmed I wanted tofu instead of egg. That little question goes a long way with someone who doesn’t eat egg. And my order came out very quickly. But the best part was how good my food was. Typically vegan options are just alright. This burger was hands down my favorite around. Maple & Rye keep up the good work!! You are truly an asset to Laporte.
This restaurant is new to LaPorte and knocking it out of the park with the food!We were greeted when we entered. The menu was chalkboard style high on the wall behind the counter.I saw the smaller framed menu on the counter listing the specials.Only one person working the front counter and serving food. Ordering was seamless . She was very attentive to keeping the tables clean. She checked on us to be sure we didnt need anything else. I noticed after patrons left, the tables and chairs were wiped down thoroughly with an anti bacterial spray. There were 2 patrons that came in together, obviously in a hurry, waited 3 min at the counter, then left when they felt they were not going to get service. The server was getting a large order from the kitchen and the patrons were just not patient. (Maybe a door chime would work here)So slow down! Don't be in a hurry.. you owe it to yourself to go. The food is top notch here! And besides who wants to be in a hurry when enjoying great food!

We had eaten here 3 other times before (driving an hour round trip each time because their food was always worth the trip). On Friday 1/31/22 we picked up my mother in law on the way to treat her to what we had always known as great food. We ordered 2 cheeseburgers and 2 fries, a breakfast skillet and 3 drinks for dine in, and a cheeseburger and fries to go ( to take home for my father in law). The first issue was that we weren't told before purchasing drinks that they had no ice so we had to drink warm pop with our meal ( mildly annoying because bags of ice could have been purchased to eradicate their ice issue). Then our food came out. My burger did not come out with the fries that I ordered... our burgers had no onions... the burger was burnt and super greasy and the egg was burnt on the edge but completely raw in the center (even the white of the egg was completely runny and raw). We spent $50 on this meal and ended up leaving still hungry and embarrassed that we had raved about this place and this was the meal we got when we took a guest with us. Not sure what the issue is but we won't be back. It was totally worth the time to get there and the money spent when they cared what they sent out but this was very disappointing ?.
Stopped here in a while and really enjoyed the food. The sandwiches are a La carte and reasonably priced. Food was fresh and tasty. We liked the small town feel of the location but the inside was modern.
Fantastic breakfast sandwiches. We had a slicer and a hipster. Both were freshly made and super delicious. I would that this over any fast food breakfast sandwich any day. Wish they were open earlier however. Looking forward to trying other items on their menu.
Had a burger and it was good but a little greasy. Wife had one of their vegan options and she enjoyed it. We enjoyed the Jones Soda Fountain, always nice to have options you don't often see. Service was good as well. My only suggestion is to figure out a way to get rid of some of the grease. It seemed to overwhelm what was otherwise a good burger. Will definitely be giving them more visits.
Decided to try this place for lunch today. I ordered the Mac and Cheese burger to give it a shot. The burger was absolutely divine. This was something you would normally wait an hour for at Stacks Bar & Grill in Valparaiso. I wish I'd found this place sooner and I would highly recommend you stop in to try it.
