I wanted to try Grounded House Coffee this morning for the first time, but my experience was really disappointing. I waited about 10 minutes at the register with my three kids. Two young female employees saw us standing there but didn’t acknowledge us or say a word. We waited patiently as they stood together talking, with one cup of coffee between them, completely ignoring us.
We eventually walked over to look in the fridge, and two male customers came in. The same worker immediately went to assist them without hesitation or even greeting us. At that point, we decided to leave.
The lack of customer service was unacceptable. I won’t be returning, and I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. Do better. I’d give zero stars if I could.

I’ve been coming to this coffee shop since they first opened, and I’ve always really liked their food and drinks. The quality has stayed great over the years, even with changes in staff and ownership. It’s always been one of my favorite local spots!
That said, I’ve noticed that lately there always seems to be something that goes a little off with my orders. Nothing major, but small things that add up.
Today I decided to treat myself to lunch before my afternoon shift, and I ordered ahead using their app. It said my order would be ready in about 15 minutes, so I timed everything perfectly especially since I had my baby with me, who was napping in the car. I chose curbside pickup to make things easier and give him his nap.
Once I arrived and marked that I was there, I waited about 5 minutes and nobody came out. Since I still needed to get ready for work, I ended up having to wake my baby and go inside to check on my order. The barista downstairs told me there had been a big order before mine and that it wouldn’t be long, but she suggested I go upstairs and ask the kitchen myself. That part felt a bit frustrating I would’ve appreciated if they checked on it for me or just communicated a better estimate through the app.
When I went upstairs, the kitchen staff were kind and said my order was almost done, and it was about 12 minutes past the original pickup time. I understand big orders happen and delays can’t always be avoided, but a quick update or someone coming out to let me know would’ve made a big difference, especially since I was doing curbside for convenience.
Overall, I still really enjoy this place and will keep coming back because the food and drinks are always delicious. I just hope they can work on communication and accuracy with pickup times especially for parents like me who plan our whole outing around it!
I visited this shop a few times when I was in Ligonier last summer. I was in the downstairs coffee shop and the space has a retro vibe, like a 1930's speakeasy. The mochas that I got were great and they have alternatives like oatmilk, etc. I'm looking forward to going back later this year and getting a couple more mochas!

The food, service and atmosphere was really good at a reasonable price. The only issue we had was entering and leaving on quite a sharp incline. We just happen to have limited ability to handle that. There was a rail to help. Otherwise, this was a great place for a delicious sandwich.

I always enjoy coming here. They have a toasted maple coffee that I always get. The layout is unique and their decor is as well.

My favorite place to go for lunch or a cup of coffee when I’m in town :)
Wonderful coffee shop with delicious soups, sandwiches and salads.
Great atmosphere drinks are amazing people are all very friendly enjoy stopping here
I happened on this great Coffee Shop because I am waiting for my wife's car to get new tires. Elvis, the guy at Tire Star brought me down here so I could work. When you walk in the door - go down - and you walk into a very homey / comfortable basement shop that has great old music (Evis / Bing Crosby kind of stuff) playing low enough that you can think. The baristra is friendly and helpful...someplace I would drive out of my way to go to.
We just opened the pet grooming salon next door, and we’ve came here everyday. Kayla and her crew are so nice and welcoming and the food is delicious!
