Rusted Silo Southern BBQ & Brew House

Disappointed in our dining experience after reading the wonderful reviews on FB for this place. I am having an event and looking for a caterer. We drove an hour and 15 minutes to try their food before I booked them. Our experience: When we arrived, there were two tables open- one dirty and one by the door. It was a cold and rainy day, so I wanted the table away from the door. I was looking for a napkin to wipe off the table. The owner asked what I needed. I told him, and he responded that he cleaned the tables. I said, “ok”. He came over and cleaned the table and said the food tastes the same regardless of where you sit. I told him we had an infant with us and wanted to sit away from the door. He responded that the entire restaurant was the same temperature, and it didn’t matter where we sat. I wanted to inform him that if you sat by a door, you would feel the draft every time the door opened; however, I refrained since he obviously would not have understood this concept. I let him wipe the table down and go on his merry way. As he walked away, he told me the heat was broken, and the whole place was cold. I guess this ruined his day and put him in a grumpy mood. I surely hope he is not this grumpy every day. He then went behind the counter and told another employee we should have left the baby outside. Totally uncalled for. Food: My BBQ was okay- nothing special. My husband’s brisket was dry. The best part of the meal was the macaroni and cheese. I will be exploring other catering options.

Amazing food! I wanted to visit a very local place and this was it. Cant get any more authentic.

I ordered the brisket plate with half rack ribs. Brisket is the best but both were super awesome. Can’t wait to go back. Thanks for a super great meal. Happy camper here.

Love this place, food is on point, best bbq we have found in Indy. Greens are extra special. Pecan pie for Thanksgiving is a real treat.

Parking: Can be tight around dinner rush, always find a place somewhere. Worth the effort!

Holy smoked! This place is my new go to for bbq. If you're in the area, give this place a try. I guarantee you wont be disappointed. The Carolina Mustard sauce they have is just amazing, the ribs were perfect and the mac an cheese...... I had to get a quart to go it was so good! Will be back soon for pics!

I ordered the Chuck Norris ...WOW flavor on point this sandwich almost kicked my butt . The Habanero Burbon sauce is Amazing! I'll be back

Food was good, staff was friendly and I feel I got my money’s worth. Street corn was AMAZING, potato salad and beans pretty good, wings were really good,
brisket and ribs okay, and the Chuck Norris sandwich was decent. Going to give it another shot and try the sausage sampler and honey slaw.
