Kitchen staff was screaming and swearing. We were served after a table that arrived after us. My sandwich came out cold and missing items but also with a giant plastic chunk of something in it. The waitresses were incredibly kind but the owner would only give me 15% off and didn't even come over to speak to me about the plastic in the food. Someone could have choked. Do not eat here.
Can tell you waited for service no o e showed up 15 mins even told bartender she was very nice , but not knew showed up . I want love this place been here years ago food was good , service sucked thought give another try today . Suggestion , awning in front by dining room entrance , room darking curtains for dunning room , tint back door glass , candles on table , maybe table cloths , fix the partical board outside , cover up that old bar in Dinning room . Most of all have someone greet the guest , take them to the table . This place should be packed on Friday and Saturday people waiting to get in , should push to be old school Italian look. I had little experience with family run restaurant , this place could be great .
We had the best waitress, who was working her butt off to get two large tables served. It wasn't her fault that they were understaffed, and you would think on a Thursday night they would not need to have an extra person. They did really well and were very apologetic with the time it took to get our meals out. The food was fabulous, especially the appetizers. We ate way too much and had way too much fun.
My only complaint was the music did not seem appropriate for the crowd that was there. They were showing old music videos of Michael Jackson, and some more modern videos. It seemed maybe to be more appealing to a much younger crowd. Also, it made it difficult to have conversations across the table.
The food and cocktails are amazing!!
I’m not usually one to give a bad review like this. Food was not worth what you paid!!!! Very disappointed!! My Stromboli was made using a hoagie type bread. If I wanted a sub I would have gone to subway.
Our food was good, the service was not bad, but be beware…there is a tip added for a table of 4 with separate separate checks. This waitress made out, 20% that she added and 20%+ that we each added. It’s really too bad, I like to support local up coming businesses, but DO NOT take advantage of us! BTW, there is a charge of $2.00 for glass of water.
We were staying in the area, first time visiting. We chose The New Amelio’s for dinner and were so glad we did. Felt welcomed the minute we walked in the door by staff and customers alike. We chose to sit in the dining room. Our waitress was Chelsa (not sure I spelled that correctly) and she was awesome! Great personality, made us feel like we were old acquaintances. The food was great. My French dip (from the “secret menu”) was by far the best French dip I’d ever had. It was made from tidbits of filet mignon and NY strip (or ribeye..I can’t remember). The bun for the sandwich was soft and amazing, held up well to the dip. I highly recommend The New Amelio’s and will definitely return. To the owners: best service award to Chelsa!!! 😁🎉

I ordered takeout at 440. They told me 40 minutes and it took a little over an hour. Cheeseburgers were little meatballs instead of flat. They were both burnt and cold. Fries were cold. One container looked like it had blood on it. $90 and it all got thrown away. We will never return. It used to be good. Not sure what happened.

Quiet, small bar right on the corner BUT don't let the "little bar" fool you because it's HUGE ON FLAVOR! The meatball sandwich was divine! The marinara is like nothing I've ever experienced! This is one of the beat flavors I've had! You must visit this place! The hand breaded tenderloin was thick and hearty!

Stopped for lunch. Outstanding white fish sandwich and the wife had the hoagie sandwich that thought was delicious. House made chip were warm and salted ? ? just right.
Gave it a 4 because we couldn't see the river. Hopefully a rooftop addition in the future.
Our server was perfect. Knew history and attentive.

Won't go back!! Hamburger was undercooked, waited close to an hour after it took 45 mins to ask us what we wanted to eat, so close 2 hours to get the food. Order wasnt correct coming out, slow to get a refill, napkins, or sauces that were asked for.
