Recently discovered this restaurant. Being Mexican and growing up eating authentic Mexican food, I wanted something that reminds me of moms home cooked meals. This place has polite and friendly staff- great food and a quiet environment. Offering authentic Mexican food made on the order, I've been a returning customer. I would recommend the tacos, popusas and the Tres Carnes! The meat was seasoned perfectly and super soft. Check this place out for authentic Mexican taste.

Good food. If you leave hungry it's your own fault.

Que rico! This is the best Mexican I've had on the East coast or outside of Mexico in years. The tacos de lengua were perfect and the taquitos were oh.my.dios good! We got soooo much food - we couldn't even finish it and all under 30$ Oh and they have these icey popsicle things next to the counter for like $2...try the spicy pineapple flavor. Omg I wanna go back already. Soooo good! Also support Trenton!!!

The best place in the area for delicious, authentic Mexican food. The portions are huge for a very reasonable price. Very cozy feel inside the restaurant. All the sauces are fresh and homemade, and the meat is perfectly seasoned too! 10/10 will be coming back!

First impression is kind a sketchy seeing that this establishment is located in a little strip where parking is hard to find. We walked in to find the place about half full and we quickly sat down at a table closest to the counter. 5 minutes passed and my husband finally got up and grabbed some menus located in a basket behind the counter. About 5 minutes after he grabbed the menu the waitress finally decided to come take our order. I guess they charge for chips and salsa since it was listed on the menu as a side dish. We got our food about 10 min later and after that we never saw the waitress again. I got tacos and my husband got the steak dinner plate. The tacos (3) weren't bad but not something memorable for $8. My husbands carne asada dinner came with homemade tortillas- which tasted like lukewarm playdough. His steak was tough and underseasoned and the whole experience was under whelming. Not to mention the few tables around us that where vacated still hadn't been cleaned from when we first walked in. I noticed on the menu they offered papusas and other non mexican dishes. I wish restaurants claiming to have traditional food would stop trying to pass off other culters dishes as their own. There are enough puerto Rican- columbian establishments serving good food. Stick to what you claim and cook it well.

Great food!!! Great Prices!!! Only thing many servers don't speak English but it's ok I speak Spanish!! Lol. All jokes aside it's an easy menu. Just point and they will get you what you want. Greaaaaaaat prices. I mean all that food and it's just so tasty. You get two meals outta one. I've been coming here since they first opened. I would say I come here once a month. Tried almost everything and it's all good.

Great papusas! I haven't tried anything else because the papusas are so good, but there always are locals in the place getting food that looks excellent.

First time there and got the Tostadas de Carne (sp?). It was AWESOME!! The meat was seasoned just right and the salsa verde with the chips were yummy! I was a bit hesitant to go in because it looked dark inside but glad I took the chance. The place was warm, friendly and a good number of customers. The kitchen, you can see in the back, was clean. I will go back.

DO NOT COME HERE One of the worst experiences I've ever had... The food took over an hour and a half, and was missing two of my three children's orders. The grilled cheese was government cheese, the pupusas were greasy, the horchata tasted like it had been sitting around fish, and the one waitress was completely oblivious... No apology for our wait or "mix ups" the enchiladas weren't even rolled when they came out... Seriously can't sleep knowing others could make this mistake.

Ended up here by chance, but I'm happy I did! As others have mentioned, the area can be confusing at first as it looks a bit run down outside and like a home, rather than a restaurant. I got here around 4pm on a Saturday and it wasn't crowded at all, which was nice since there isn't lots of seating. There were no English speakers in sight, but the lady at the counter was really sweet and used hand gestures with us.. plus the menu was a lifesaver! Now onto the best part-- the food! Delicious and tasted very authentic to me. I had the tacos al pastor and I would highly recommend it. Crispy pork with that fresh squeeze of lime was amazing and made fireworks go off in my mouth! I wish I had room for more, but the serving was generous.. and only for 7 bucks! I would have given it 5 stars, but I couldn't help but spot a bug on the wall, flies around the restaurant, and some trash on the floor. Saving grace was that I saw the cooks in the back using gloves and that made me feel a lot better! I'm not one to shy away from hole-in-the-walls, and I know with that comes some uncleanliness, but if this place were to do a little fixing, it would be a perfect 5 in my book!
