Our main waitress, an older lady with glasses, was short with every encounter and made us feel unappreciated and hurried for the beginning. Also, we're half way through our meal and they start bugging us about to-go boxes. It very much felt like they wanted to hurry us out the door to flip the table.

No idea why people like this place?! My first time and last! Food had zero flavor! Got surf n turf and steak was undercooked had to send back. Lobster was chewy and my butter taste horrible. Got the combo appetizer and was also overcooked fried food. Had a party of 6 and nobody was pleased with their meal. Food took over an hour to come out. Waited way too long. Will not be back. Add some flavor into your food!! Prices are only thing decent but you get shitty food.

Second time this has happened now. After arriving to pick up my togo, I had to make the hostess remake my to go salad because after she was playing with her hair, she took my payment, she than went to get my to go, and I watched her use her dirty hands to scoop the salad and it's contents and put it in the box. I had to ask another host to have her go remake it and why. Not even an "I'm sorry about that" just an awkward look and a nod ok. Also, The place has water dripping from the ceilings all over the carpet. I will not be returning. Management should teach their employees better. Maybe hosts should have to take the serv/pro classes and educate themselves on hygiene. Absolutely grossed out

i usually never make reviews but this needs to be written. My wife and i went into Mcvey’s tonight (July 2, 2025). We had Patti, i believe her name was, as our waitress and she was amazing. We got fried lake perch and stuffed shrimp and the chef made it delicious. However the male host gave so much attitude to the other host working and the little bus girls running around. He gave attitude to the point we wanted to walk out and leave because that’s not how you treat your coworkers. one of the little bus girls was just trying to help him and the other host and he huffed and rolled his eyes. it is safe to say he doesn’t know what customer service is. he is very terrible at his job and then disappeared into the back for awhile and didn’t come out and do his job. he cussed out on the floor so loudly, which is not appropriate for when you’re working. when we first were at the host desk we saw him also close the door when a bus girl was coming out with food. we also over heard him saying stuff about paying customers and talking very badly about them. he also got really sassy with the bartender when it came to an order. overall our experience was great but this male host needs an attitude check or to get fired because this is not how you treat your coworkers or customers.
