We stopped for breakfast and were warned they were busy and a bit short staffed. However, you wouldn’t know it. The service was excellent and the food delicious. For being short staffed, the people who were working did an excellent job-very friendly! We will definitely go back. Give them a try one day soon!

We went for breakfast on a Sunday morning and it was not crowded at all. The portions were huge and the food was very good. The decor is adorable and there is a great outside dining area perfect for cocktails and dinner on a warm night.

Came here for breakfast about a week ago and left a review on google which the owner continues to flag and deletes because of the poor service that we received. The restaurant was not busy but it took nearly an hour to get a party of 3 an order of French Toast, egg white omelette and scrambled eggs. Once the food finally came, the French toast was ice cold and the whip cream was brown. We told the server about who asked if we wanted a new one, which we said no to because why would we want to wait another hour for French toast. We were never offered refills and the service was super slow. I even reached out to the owner via Facebook messenger since she never came to our table and still no response. Apparently they do not care about customer service and just want to show positive feedback rather than fix customer service issues.

The MASON JAR restaurant located in Lowell, IN is tucked away within the residential section of this small town. It is very unassuming and you would never consider it hiding next to the post office. Upon arriving I noticed the covered outdoor area in which many patrons were dining. Once inside I found the farmhouse decor, antiques & mason jar theme throughout which was tastefully done. We decided to sit indoors & were seated promptly. The menu selection was large enough but not overwhelming. I decided upon the grilled cheese & pulled pork sandwich which was delicious & arrived within a very reasonable amount of time. The serving size was good and food hot. The restaurant was clean, server attentive and price point comparable to other similar venues I have been to. The owner/ upper management did come around check on our dining experience which is always nice.I found MASON JAR to overall be a great place to stop for breakfast, lunch or dinner. There is additional parking across the road should you need. This appears to be a family friendly restaurant with something for everyone. I would recommend stopping in. Look for the post office flag it will help guide you.

On a nice day there is lots of patio space to be outside. I’ve had their hamburger which was good. The soup is always great. I’ve usually had breakfast and it’s a huge portion so I take half home. What makes this a notch above is the homemade toast, it’s wonderful. Service has always been good too.

When we arrived they were not very busy. We were seated pretty quickly which was nice. That is where the nice ended. We were there almost 2 hours, most of that time was waiting for our food which was not very good. The biscuits where small and very dry, French toast was also dry and flavorless. I could go on and on but you get the point. Not a very good value for the money spent. Would not recommend.

The food wasn't the greatest and was really expensive. I tried this place twice and both times I was very disappointed. My mashed potatoes were like they took a baked potato and crushed it some. My meat was very chewy like it was sitting for to long in a warmer. But the places itself is nice clean and I love the outdoor area. I plan on trying this 1 more time but if it's like it was the last 2 times I went I will never return and I hate that because I wasn't to support local business

This was our first visit at The Mason Jar. Great first impression. Thankfully the outdoor patio was open an we really enjoyed the clean and spacious patio. The music was at the perfect volume. We could hear it but still have a conversation. The owner of the establishment was our server and was friendly and attentive. My husband was very happy with the Brisket Sandwich with queso, on toasted ciabatta. I loved my Western Burger. The portions were generous and reasonably priced. The only room for improvement would be to up the quality of the French fries. We will definitely be back and look forward to our next visit.

If you are going anywhere else in town for breakfast besides the MASON JAR, you are missing out! Amazing service, adorable atmosphere, amazing food, huge portions, great coffee and great prices. Opens at 7:00am, and are unfortunately closed on Mondays, but everyone needs a day off, right? Come out and see for yourself! (Look at the cute syrup jar! How can you resist?) Oh, they have an awesome salad bar and great dinner choices too!

I’ve been here before and had a good experience so I gave it another shot. I ordered ribs but they had a very smoky flavor which was unnatural. Almost as if they put too much liquid smoke to flavor ribs. Mac was a little cold and the Mash were dry. Prices were high for the quality.
