This place is really good. Broasted Chicken was great, Slaw was very good, bought a pint to take home. And the Dutch Apple pie with ice cream, what can I say? We will definitely be going back.

We have tried the liver onions and the cheeseburgers. Their vegetables are always fresh. Their bathrooms are clean. The help does a great job. The atmosphere is prairie relaxed, and we always get extra coleslaw to go. It’s about 35 minutes away from our house, but it is well worth the drive.

Our server Amber E. was so sweet and relatable (which is hard to find). We're from Evansville, IN, and we decided to stop in for lunch. They have the BEST fried chicken I've ever had in my 48yrs of life, and they cooked it to order! Some of the best ranch dressing as well!! A small, cute, laid-back casual Cafe style restaurant. Even the salad and green beans were amazing!!! Thank you, Van's! We'll be back! * Pictures were after I ate...lol*

The food at Vans is amazing. We arrived for a late breakfast. The pancakes are killer. Soon big we took part of one home for breakfast for another day. The Travelers breakfast with the ham - again amazing. The He-man breakfast was very good. The grilled pork cutlet was different. The biscuit was something completely different. Almost the consistency of cake. Couldn't eat all of it. I love hash browns, and they were well above par.
Staff were busy but keeping up. Very courteous, very helpful. Knowledgeable about the menu. They say the Cole slaw is to die for. Given the quality of the food , I have no doubt it is.
The building is my reason for less than 5 star rating across the board. The table was sticky, and the floor was also sticky. The walls, cieling, and other areas of the building can use some work. Cleaning and repair, paint, and some love and care. It is a country diner - through and through. I would eat here again.

Everytime i am in town I make sure to stop in. Prices are right and I have not had anything bad. Do wish they had okra though. Portions are great. You cannot go wrong.

Ali, our waitress was so efficient and prompt on taking our order and made sure we had refills if we needed them? I asked her what was the special of the day, she suggested the homemade vegetable and grilled cheese. It was over the top great. I thank her for the suggestion. She gave others as well but that sounded so darn good. Great place to go eat. I highly recommend it.
