This place is awesome. The young ladies working were very friendly and got to our table right away. Lasagna was one of the specials and it was amazing. The chicken fried steak that my friend had could be cut with a fork. Our bill was $33 and we were both stuffed. If I get back up this way, Van's will be in my list of places to stop. Y'all keep up the good work there. If you want an amazing meal and super nice folks, this is the place. It's 10 min or so off I-64 and you can get into lot with small trailer or their is a gas station next door with a bigger lot in back.

My dad and I would stop in there to eat before we headed to the horse and tack sales outside of Marengo Indiana, he's long since passed away but I still enjoy a trip down memory lane to think about the good ole days with my dad and the food is good to. Can't beat there biscuits and gravey are there chicken 5🌟

The portions were so huge that Tom, my seven foot, 300 pound friend, couldn't finish his lunch, and my friend Darrell wouldn't stop talking about the cute girls that provided excellent service! Would definitely stop here again.

Nestled in the heart of Marengo is a nice country cooking restaurant. Everybody knows Van's. It was lunch rush hour. The place was full and lively. My husband ordered a burger with home made fried potatoes-of which I had a generous portion of. Yummy would be the start of the conversation. The next time we amble through town, I think we'll make it a point to stop in.
Food is phenomenal and the staff is always so nice and friendly. But for the love of God, please stop asking me to tip you on TO GO orders, please. I'm taking it home to eat. Why do so many restaurants do this nowadays? Why would I tip on an order I'm taking home to eat? Anyways, 10/10 otherwise

Great food and service on a Friday morning. Breakfast sandwiches were great, pancakes were a hit with the kids even with just butter. Service was quick and food was great! Highly recommend for a stop when you’re visiting.
