J&L Breakfast! I want to start by saying the three stars I'm giving this restaurant isn't representing the entire menu or prices. I would really give it 31/2 stars if I could, but I feel I would need to go back for another time to up the stars.

The prices are pretty darn good for what you get! I had a breakfast platter of two eggs, toast, bacon, has browns and pancakes for only 8-9$! That's gooood! The service was great! No complaints. I didn't like the very quiet room though, aside people chatting, it was weird! It could be because we were in late morning for breakfast? But a little soothing music would have been nice!

The food, while plentiful, was a little bland. I definitely understand salt and pepper was available but the hash browns were terribly bland, like almost tasting like water. The pancakes were not the best, but okay, and the bacon while I love thick slices, were a little too greasy? Like I was tasting grease and bacon if that makes sense. If the pancakes were done right, everything else could be overlooked easily ha. I also understand everyone's preferences are different so it's hard to find that middle ground.

I'm sure there is more to this nice place than what I had so don't take this review too hard, I've only been here once! I'll update when I revisit! And again great service!

Great little gem, wonderful food. I highly recommend stopping by and checking this place out. I have stepped in and they are not very busy and I have stopped in and they are extremely busy. Either way it's worth the time to check them out.

I work at the gas station on the corner of 38th and after a year decided to try this place out. Waitress offered me ā€œdessertā€ so I took her offer and it was the best dessert I have ever.

Decided to try to call in a take out order for them to tell me they were to busy to take my order.. So definitely taking away the 5 stars… very sad thats the only thing i wanted to eat today! Maybe you should consider getting more staff?

Food is meh. It would be nice of they gor my order right. Asked for cheese on my eggs. Did not get it and the rude waitress was like I don't know why they do that Then walked off had to ask for drinks. Then the same waitress gor rude because I told the lady to pay to take the cheese off. The waitress turns around smacks her lips and gets rude as hell. Walked right back to the table picked up my tip and will never go back. It's gone way down hill

We have been waiting over 40 minutes for our drinks. It’s very disappointing to see how much it has changed.

First time at this restaurant today. Walked in door, sign saying seat yourself covered up, could not see it. None of the 4 waitresses acknowledged us or told us to take a seat. Sat another 7 minutes while waitresses stocked glasses, talked, more stocking, lots more talking. Waitresses with long blond hair finally comes over took drink orders. Talking to at least 6 other people, just chatting, put in an order for someone else. Filled drink order for customer at counter. Another girl came in, waiting to be seated. No one acknowledged her. Still no drinks for us. We got up and left. They evidently have enough regular customers, they don't need new ones.
