I am a part of a women's basketball team in IL, and we happened to stop there after a late game in IN. The service was TOP notch. We had over 20+ people come in, close to closing time, and the workers stayed past their closing time to make sure we got all that we needed and ordered. They were absolutely phenomenal. The head chef was unbelievable, worked so hard, and did it all with a smile. Our team was very thankful!!! The food and shakes were ALL amazing. Great experience.

First time here since it reopened and it's just weird. You order your own food get your own drinks and a server may or may not bring you your food. We might go back because the food wasn't bad and neither was the minimal service you get.

Always enjoyed steak and shake but not today, stopped and got a burger and fries, unfortunately the prices continue to climb, understandable, my complaint is the burger I got tasted like it was microwaved ,really hot in the middle and not crispy on the outside from being grilled

I love steak N Shake. But not this one. They skimped on the fries which were stale. Did not fill the fry container. Burger was barely warm.
Hilarious that the kiosk prompts you for a tip. I declined which is why I suspect they skimped on the fries I paid for. Tip for what? To place my own order to go at the kiosk? Tips are for service.

Not happy. We had to order our own food, get our own drinks, and clean our own table. The waitress brought our food, put it on the table, and left never to be seen again. Did not say anything to us other than call the name out for the food order. Never came to check up on us to see if everything was alright or if we needed anything.

Pulled into drive thru was told they would be with me in a second 20 minutes later was still waiting with maybe 3 people in the restaurant! Customer service definitely is piss poor. Definitely won't be going back. Nothing has gotten better. Maybe should have left the doors closed

This is located in the mall. You can order at a kiosk or at the counter. I was in town on business and ended up eating here two different times. The first time the food was ok but the second time it was really good.
Im not a huge fan of making my orders on a computer screen. I'm old school and feel people interacting with customers makes a place special. With that being said the food is great and it's always clean when we go in

Sandwiches had big chunks of butter that was partially melted and Sandwiches were made sloppy. The chili cheese fries and regular fries were old and tasted soggy like they were refried to heat them up. I ordered 2 shakes with my meals and didn't get them until I was done eating and ready to leave. My girlfriend and I will probably never come back to this location!
